A really nice place to stay, staff were friendly and polite and the rooms were clean. There was a good choice of food from the buffet, but be warned the drinks are very pricey and the only place i know where a pint isn`t actually a pint, it`s two thirds of a pint....just the Finnish way i believe.

I had spent there 3 days in spring season (in EU you would say it’s already summer season). Outside temperature where in the range of 8° Celsius during the day and 0-2° Celsius in the night at first week of June 2015. You might still found some snow (better call it ice) at places where was shadow and less sun.... More

Booked a four night Lapland experience through Thompson and it didn't dissappont. We stayed in the apartments outside of the main building which gave us our own sauna in our room which was really nice, you did however have to get suited up to visit the resaurant for food and drink which was a bit of a pain. It is... More

Room was small, but ok. The bed wasn't super comfortable. The food was fine for a hotel, but nothing special. Everything about my experience was 3 star. I did think the bar had a very nice atmosphere and the location of the hotel is superb. If I came to town again I would try out another option.

Two nights at the Riekonlinna in Saariselka. Fairly basic. Nothing wrong with it, comfortable beds. Food okay. Bar okay. Not a wine drinker's hotel. Reasons to stay there are Northern Lights and snowbike safaris (and cross country skiing, if you're into that). This was a business trip and the hotel has an excellent presentation auditorium.

Stayed here over Christmas with Santas Lapland holidays. The hotel is nothing special, but no real complaints. The bar was expensive by UK standards, but only to be expected for this part of the world. The hotel it self was clean and tidy, with a decent shower, had interconnecting rooms, which, if travelling with others is a really good idea. Beds... More

We stayed in the hotel in February. Reception team was nice, breakfast was very nice, appreciated gluten-free offer. I did not like the bathroom- quite old, definately not rated for 4 stars hotel. The sauna in our room was great ( dont expect hot room 80-90 deg.). Maximum 65 deg, but it was still nice after freezing cold weather and... More

My fiance and I stayed here as part of a Thomson package holiday 14th-17th December (we are a couple in our early 20s with no kids). After reading the reviews, we knew that we weren't expecting 5* luxury. We didn't expect to spend much time in our room, so this didn't really matter. Whilst the communal areas of the hotel... More

I stayed 3 nights in a room located at the mainbuilding, I think it might have been listed as "superior room". Mainbuilding and hotelarea is a bit dated, as is the room. There room needs to have more lights, and perhaps some general updating. Sauna is a nice bonus to have, just enough room for two persons to get warm... More

We booked this hotel through Thomson, they have it listed as "The Hotel Snowflake." We had very high expectations as a couple of years ago we travelled with them to Yllas, Akaslompolo, in the "Snow Elf", and had an amazing time. We booked a five night trip from 24th December 2014. The flight was slightly boring and dull this time... More
