We stayed in the hotel in February. Reception team was nice, breakfast was very nice, appreciated gluten-free offer. I did not like the bathroom- quite old, definately not rated for 4 stars hotel. The sauna in our room was great ( dont expect hot room 80-90 deg.). Maximum 65 deg, but it was still nice after freezing cold weather and... More

My fiance and I stayed here as part of a Thomson package holiday 14th-17th December (we are a couple in our early 20s with no kids). After reading the reviews, we knew that we weren't expecting 5* luxury. We didn't expect to spend much time in our room, so this didn't really matter. Whilst the communal areas of the hotel... More

I stayed 3 nights in a room located at the mainbuilding, I think it might have been listed as "superior room". Mainbuilding and hotelarea is a bit dated, as is the room. There room needs to have more lights, and perhaps some general updating. Sauna is a nice bonus to have, just enough room for two persons to get warm... More

We booked this hotel through Thomson, they have it listed as "The Hotel Snowflake." We had very high expectations as a couple of years ago we travelled with them to Yllas, Akaslompolo, in the "Snow Elf", and had an amazing time. We booked a five night trip from 24th December 2014. The flight was slightly boring and dull this time... More

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with Santa's Lapland over the Xmas period. Booked the 'type D' room which is well worth the extra money. Located in a block just behind the main hotel the rooms were spacious with a kitchenette and your own personal sauna located in a large bathroom. Yes it was a small walk into the... More

From the outside the hotel looks lovely and it's in a good location, near the few shops and restaurants in Saariselka and best of all only a few minutes walk from the toboggan run. We went over Xmas and it was Thomson's Snowflake Hotel at that point with a Thomson kids' entertainment team which was great. The communal areas of... More

This was our second consecutive Xmas at the hotel and we were not disappointed! The rooms were warm (It was minus 29 degrees C outside) the food was very tasty and plentiful (we stayed full board for 5 nights). The staff are very, very kind and polite at all times and they certainly contributed very positively to our enjoyment. The... More

We had booked a double room that in the pictures looked fully renovated. When we got our room, it was a shabby outdated room. We complained about the room and we got the fully renovated room which we had booked. The new room was nice and met our expectations on what we had booked. There was a lot of screaming... More

The hotel and apartments were super. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. The apartment block is a short walk to the main hotel but this is fine even in the -30 degree temperatures. The apartment was very well appointed. The bathroom and our own sauna were beautiful. The kitchen was compact and functional with plenty of pots, pans and... More
