We stayed at this comfortable hotel whilst experiencing a wonderful 5 day Lapland holiday. Everything was geared up to make this family holiday magical with the visit to Santa's log cabin in the woods by reindeer to the snowmobile excursion up the mountain at night. We were all sad to leave and even I started to believe in Santa again... More

Probably on the same corporate trip as the previous reviewer, I stopped in one of the apartments. These had basic but comfortable furnishing. The kitchen was well equipped (although we were not in the area long enough to gauge where you would buy food if self catering). Also in the apartment was a comfy lounge area, wet room style shower,... More

We stayed here for a week on half board basis. It looks stunning from the outside, but on the inside it seems a little dated but clean and comfortable. The room was a reasonable sized double, although we had two single duvets (which must be a Finnish thing as we've had this before). All rooms seem to have a private... More

We stayed here on a whirlwind corporate trip. If you are from the UK you may find the standard of the main building accommodation a bit poor. Certainly it feels dated and in need of bit of a updating. The bathroom was smelly with an old plastic beige sink full of dirty cracks and a shower cubicle that flooded the... More

Stayed here in December 2013 as part of Thomson Lapland Holidays. I rate the holiday overall a massive 10/10 best thing I have ever done in my life. And the Thomson reps really were the best of he best, So helpful and attentive, I went with just me and my 4y/o son, my sons suitcase was lost at the airport,... More

What an experience. Spent 5 days here over Christmas with family. Booked rooms with saunas, well worth it after a day in the snow. Some rooms have a drying closet, again great to put your wet clothes in and out of the way. Little wooden balcony, complete with snow shovel and thermometer to gague those cold nights. Booked full board,... More

I stayed at the Hotel Riekonlinna on 1st January for 4 nights with my mother. The location is at the far end of the village (or near-end, depending which way you look it at) but is well placed for access to the shops and tour companies and is the closest hotel for the toboggan run. About 20mins walk from the... More

We had booked this hotel as part of a trip to see Santa in Lapland, so were slightly worried by some of the reviews. We needn't have been: the room was gorgeous. More like a small apartment, it had 2 separate bedrooms, a longe/diner/kitchen. We even had our own sauna! It was very clean & cosy. The room was in... More

We traveled here in dec 13, 4 adults 2 children . The hotel is beautiful from the outside, covered in snow and twinkly lights, really Christmassy. The hotel is a little dated and the rooms a little small as there was the 4 of us in one room but well appointed.. Tea, coffee , big tv with a few English... More

We stayed at this hotel over Christmas. Our trip was with Thompsons. Two adults and two children 9yrs and 5yrs. We walked into our room and yes decoration in basic, but it's very clean, comfortable and warm. The food is mostly Finnish and delicious. Drinks are exspensive but in this part of the world they are. Santa Resort was a... More
