We stayed here for 4 nights including an optional night in a glass igloo. The log cabin was very warm and had an open log fire which we used in the afternoons when relaxing. We had pre booked our trips and the night in the igloo but did find a few problems with these. We were lucky enough to see... More

This place is very expensive. Snow and glass igloos is a lovely - nice idea - cute. BUT the hotel makes no claims about seeing nothern lights through the glass roof. Say you have 10% chance of laying in bed gazing at a green display through your igloo roof. The property is vast. We stayed March 2012 winter. The directional... More

Each igloo is equipped with two beds, and its very own bathroom. It’s actually really spacious, especially with the added glass dome windows that make it feel even bigger. Not only was I not cold, but I immediately had to de-layer when I stepped inside. I had everything charging because it has electricity, and the lights keep it nice and... More

The reason my sister and I stayed here was mainly to stay in the glass igloo - it's such a fantastic idea. It is expensive but if you can afford the price tag, it's SO worth it. Even if you don't see the Northern Lights, it is a beautiful experience. We were lucky enough to see it for about 5... More

I do not understand why people would complain about having to walk to the restaurant from their cabin or carry their own luggage on a sledge. To go to this place, you have to love snow and adventure. We stayed in Queen Suite 3 and it was amazing. Quirky, beautiful and lovely and warm. If you stay in a Queen... More

What a lovely experience, beautiful to lie on your bed (electric to get comfortable view!) up into the sky. Lovely and warm and private despite the glass roof! Hotel has Igloo, glass igloo and cabins. We stayed 1 night in a glass igloo. Fab. You supposedly should only take a small bag up to the room but if you travel... More

Our main reason for going was to stay in a real snow igloo. We loved the area around Kakslauttanen, but for the price paid, it was lacking a lot. The glass igloo could have been cleaner, the curtains had stains which could easily have been removed with a wash and the floor and mat were dirty. Spending the night in... More

The second half of our trip to Finland took us down to Saariselka and Kakslauttanen. We had a great time but felt the northern lights aspect was secondary here where the focus is more on comfort and pre planned entertainment in the snow. Everything felt more 'holiday organised' here than part of the natural landscape as at Korpikartano, but the... More

really peaceful resort.Cabins just...great and the greatest experience...´The glass igloo´,surrounded by trees and the sky, warmth, isolated igloos with own wc. The Queen cabins are spectacular!:warmth, cozy, wide, sauna and open jacuzzi, what else do you need?just your couple to enjoy it when the nothern lights aren´t playing. Breakfast correct,no lunch time and menu dinner ....better forget it so as the wine list(extremely expensive and very... More

We stayed on nearby saariselka but are considering having our wedding here so thought it wise to have a dry run and check out the venue and test the mixed reports left here on trip advisor. We visited over two days, one unaccompanied and one with the wedding planner to see what it's like. First visit: amazing and stunning location,... More
