Staff are friendly and attentive. The facilities are well look after. The pool is great. The rooms are nice. The beds great. The breakfast buffet was ok but not much for vegetarians. THe outstanding drawback was that the showerhead was at level with my chest and the you could not the sweet point where the water temperature was just right.... More

I've frequented this beach many times, and stayed at Anchana for the first time recently. Overall, it was enjoyable. My room was comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated, with a nice little balcony. The pool is surrounded with greenery and the beach is directly across the road. The local area is sparsely populated and is not a party beach. The weekend... More

This is a place which is all about the looks and mainly catering for large bus group tours and travel angencies sending people there. It is not geared to the individual visitor. What I particularly disliked about this place is that they host parties on the relatively unspoiled beach of Dolphin Bay. Dinner tables are moved to the beach resulting... More

The location of the hotel has nothing much to offer, there are few local sea side hawkers around, and few local food outlets, not even sure if they opens in the morning/afternoon. The rooms given to me, the water heater isn't working, not sure if there isn't any at all, or simply not working. Made a complaint to the front... More

We spend a week in Sam Roi Yot and the hotel we stayed at did not have a pool. We went to Anchana everyday to use their pool, if you do not have drinks and?or drinks there they charge you for the use. But the food is absolutely superb, both the western and thai food! The only restaurant in Thailand... More

This hotel and the surrounding resort had everything we wanted for a week of doing nothing seeing nothing except spending time together in the pool, walking the beach and going out for good food. The area is low key, quaint and old fashioned and we felt at home and instantly relaxed. For the more adventerous there is kayaking, biking, sightseeing... More

I stayed here as part of a group and have all amounts of praise for the local staff at this hotel, but was really disappointed by the standard of accommodation. The staff went out of their way to make our group's stay comfortable, despite being put under enormous pressure from the Bangkok Head Office to move some of us out... More

Stayed 3 nights over the New Year period. Room was clean. Nice design/style. Nice pool. Close to beach. However, all the niceties are only skin deep. Beneath the surface the hotel was terrible - racist and ignorant (Thai) staff, slow service and poor management/organization. We got lost trying to find the place. Once we arrived, we tried to inform the... More

Stayed here as the first stop of our grasshopper adventures bike ride down to Ko Samui/Ko Tao. When we arrived, we were greeted with cold towels and a nice, cold grape juice....such a nice touch. Overall great experience was great. Literally just a stone throw away from the beach. The area is quiet and quaint. Our room package included breakfast... More

We stayed Dec 27-30 and will certainly go back. We had our own transport but it is easy to get around without, if you feel the need. A six km beach right in front, with mountains and islands to look at and a national park 10 min away. Anchana offers very nice rooms and friendly staff, make sure you book... More
