Unless you do not really mind where you crash out at night, I would not recommend it. (I am not sure, though, how much better it gets by way of accommodation in Dhaka.) I think I was in what was called a junior suite, on the floor above ground-level, but it was not a room where you felt like spending... More

the rooms are very basic , if u are looking for cheap hotel for a short period in good neighborhood, then this is the one, other than that , do not expect mush. - the positives are good internet , and clean sheets . but very basic bathroom, breakfast is served, only one or 2 options no more ( which... This is a very basic option, and would best be classified as a one star anywhere other than Dhaka. The corridrors and the room smelled of stale food, there were hairs and stains in the sheets, stains on the bed cover, and a generally diaplidated air to the whole place. The bathroom was very basic and the towels smelled horrible.... More

I have stayed in this hotel in January 2011. It is located in Gulshan 2, one of the posh neighborhood in Dhaka where resides most of the foreign consulates and top industrialist and celebrities. This is definitely one of the safest place to stay and is the cleanest part of the city. The hotel is best suited for business travelers... More

We've stayed here eight times over recent years, my wife and I for about 3 weeks each visit. Civic Inn is the best value hotel in Dhaka. Not expensived but good rooms, air conditioning, TV, wi-fi, breakfast - and good lunch and dinner available. Convenient, good arrangements for airport pick-up and management can assist with all problems (e.g. hiring as... More

I would recommend Civic Inn to the travelers who have low budgets and cannot accord better hotels. The hotel has good basic amenities but scores a zero on luxury factor. So if you can afford something better, Civic Inn is not ideal for you. The rooms are good in size, plus the staff is very warm and supportive. You can... More

I stayed here in January 2010, and agree with the other correspondent, but not his rating. The place is comfortable and my room had a good, hard bed and comfortable furniture in quite a large room. It's certainly not luxurious, but very pleasant. The wireless internet and good satellite television were certainly pluses. No mosquitoes! The staff worked hard to... More

I've been to Dhaka for work more times than I care to count during the last 15 years. Dhaka is not for the squeamish, but it is getting better every year. On my last stay, the office put me up here at the Civic Inn. This hotel was one of the many small hotels off the main roads in the... More
