If you are a lover of river & nature, then Padma resort will be your definite destination. It is just beside the Dhaka city. You can go there by road from Gulistan, Dhaka. I just did a visit with my family, April 2014, and it was a terrible experience. For one night trip its okay. The design of accommodation is good, but the foods are below standard and costly. There is no other option for food nearby. The view and boat trip is nice. You can book from Dhaka.

I went with three friends for one night in early May 2012. In order to book, one has to visit the Dhaka office and pay for the room in advance, and select the food. Good place for one day stay. Better if you go in the morning and come back by evening. Food is crap. Washrooms are dirty and of low quality fittings. But the location is really awesome. Proper maintenance can make this place lot more better Good luck guys
