one of the best experiences holiday living at this resort. for a person who loves a bit of isolation and want to enjoy some quite time facing a beautiful view, this resort is recommended. the service was undoubtedly extra-ordinary. i and all my friends were impressed. so impressed that we decided that in future, we will not stay in the... Location is okay and for newcomers it is charming. Service is a bit slow. Quality of food could improve. Rooms are cute but need pest control. There is still room for improvement and make this a hip place to visit. Would not mind staying here again expecting the mentioned services to improve. Good place for couples.

Cox's Bazaar surprised me greatly this year. Discovery in the middle of rain forest, beside the world's longest open beach connecting Myanmar, we discovered a well maintained functional and eco friendly resort. I think this is the role model business and future of South Asia. You don't need to go vertical wasting resources adding more ugly concrete jungle. You can... More

It was the Best kept secret of Bangladesh’s natures true beauty. So true to eco and culture. The staff members are so welcoming and humble in nature. This would be the place I will come back again and again… I had the pleasure have chat with Anu over a drink of Dab… This gentleman is full of energy and I... More

Most grateful to Cox's Bazar for helping us back from the local resort town to the resort late one night when only the electric cars were working. They took us in a minibus and were most helpful. The food was good and the resort staff very helpful and polite. Would agree with other reviews that it has room for improvement... More

I recently stayed here for 3 nights. It's well located outside the buzzling centre of Cox's Bazar which makes it a very peacefull place to stay, but also a little annoying because you have to take a CNG for 30 minutes (300 taka one way) to go to the centre. As a solo woman travelling, this kind of Iocks you... More

we just got back from 3 nights at mermaid eco and really enjoyed ourselves. It is in a lovely location - quiet and smack-dab in the middle of nature. Birds, trees, hammocks, fishing boats - beautiful The staff is absolutely lovely and the food is really good too - we are strict vegetarians and had no problem. They make the... More

Mermaid Eco-resort gets points for trying. The only thing of its kind in Cox's Bazar, it is moving the area towards a more SE Asia-type travel experience. I appreciate the low-impact design and remove from the general hectic scene of Cox's Bazar itself. There still aren't too many places like this in Bangladesh. However, at US$60+ per night for the... Very nice concept, good idea I can see all that but it quite not there yet. On the way to Cox's Bazar we stopped at 2 Mermaid Resorts...The one that is already open and working. The 2nd is still work in progress and the restaurant open only. First of all they are in the middle of wilderness not much resources... More
