Came here on my honeymoon 4 years ago and loved the place. Came here now for my 4th wedding anniversary, and although this place is under new management. The welcome that we had was out of this world. Was more like a home coming than just turning up at some b&b. Food is excellent and the pate was like an... More

This is our second time here our first was on our 1st wedding anniversary. Brilliant service, food excellent and of high quality. Staff are very warm and welcoming and the atmosphere well worth the drive. New owners since we came last but they are a lovely couple and just like old friends. Room is spotless and clean, very well decorated... More

Spend a night here in the B&B. Room a bit tired, Bed clean, and comfortable. Room in desperate need of re-decoration. bathroom not too good. Pub is small but has a lovely log burner in it. Went out for the night, came back to pub for a night cap and to sit in front of fire, arrived just before 11pm,... More

The good points were the landlord. Friendly and good with the banter. The room was fairly clean. We paid for an upgraded room but if that is what we got then it was very ordinary to say the least. It wasn't cold but could have been warmer esp as our visit over a cool damp weekend. Breakfast over the weekend... More

Fantastic night...The Haggis was ceremonially piped in and the blessing was read out. The fires were burning bright and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was just as it should be and the whiskey was flowing. We often frequent this hostelry and can honestly say that we always have fun. Reg, the Landlord, and Michelle, the landlady are... Went here on a Saturday evening, pub was empty when we arrived. Felt uncomfortable being watched from the window as we walked across the car park. We went here for a meal with family and friends. We were early for our meal. So sat in the bar for a while. The pub it self is lovely. Great character. Modern but... More

Since Reg and Michelle took over the Haymaker Inn earlier this year they have made a huge effort to get this pub back to it's former glory. With friendly and welcoming hosts, great food and rooms that are just perfect for that weekend break it is definitely a great place to go and stay. My husband retired recently and some... More
