The three course christmas lunch we recently had at this Hotel was very disappointing. The setting was pleasant, and we could not fault the attentiveness of the waitresses, but this could not make up for the bland lunch we experienced. The starter and dessert were acceptable but the main course left a lot to be desired. We all had either... more

On arrival, as soon as it had become apparent that there was a wedding reception being held at the hotel we knew we would have to expect some form of noise. It got to 12.20AM and the music had gone but there were still some of the wedding party and a group of other hotel guests drinking outside on the... more

We always warn people when there is a wedding party on - the misic is not loud and always finishes by midnight. When this guest rang reception at 12.10 am we realised that some guests were outside (smoking) making a noise - we asked them to come inside and all was peaceful again(12.20am). There is no other noise in this...

Very disappointed with our stay at the Lordleaze hotel. We booked over the phone and we stated that we had an 11 year old child. We were given a very small room with bunk-beds that were only big enough for a child up to 5. The bunk-beds blocked the window so it was very dark in the room. Decor was... more

This was the family room with 5 foot bunk beds. The family knew the bathroom had been painted as we told them on unexpectedly early check in (we are constantly trying to maintain standards) We would have happily given another room. To any future guests who don't realise - If there is anything we can do to enhance your stay...

I stayed at the Lordleaze for two nights (midweek) with my husband and two dogs. It's an excellent place to stay with dogs having a nearby field to walk them in (this is used as a dog walk by local residents so there are usually other dog walkers and the occasional joggers - keeping dogs on lead recommended). Our room... more

This was one of our 2 disabled bathrooms - all other 23 rooms have bath or shower trays etc..

Booked through Laterooms, at £75 bed and breakfast I expected something a little better. The bedroom was very plain and apart from the lcd tv, old fashioned, although the bathroom looked recently updated, and even so, had peeling paint to the walls above. You get charged £7-50 for wi-fi, but their signal is poor and most of the bedrooms can't... more

Yes we have upgraded all of our bathrooms and televisions- we now also have strong wi-fi signal throughout all bedrooms and public areas available from as little as £2.93 for those who require it.

Several members of the family were accommodated at very short notice due to problems with booked rooms at another venue. Everyone enjoyed their stay. Nothing was too much trouble and all staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, without exception. The food was excellent and difficult diets were catered for. more

This is a family run hotel. We were invited to a wedding evening reception but decided to make a day of it and arrived before the bride got back from the church. The location is unusual. It is located through a housing estate, and then out on a private road and well hidden from the houses...a real country setting. Reception... more

I stay at the Lordleaze regularly as I have business nearby. This is one of the only hotels I stay in regularly that I am really comfortable in. Robin, the owner, goes out of his way to make you feel welcome, and always has time to have chat with you. Thr rooms are of adequate size, clean and comfortable, if... more

The web site says “The secluded surroundings of Lordleaze Hotel is a perfect location for those seeking peace and tranquillity,” and indeed this proved to be the case on both mornings we were at the hotel. The weekend we stayed was hot and sunny but the evenings were far from ‘peace and tranquillity’. So what shattered the ‘peace and tranquillity’?... more

As said our service, food & cleanliness is very good, among other things this makes us a popular hotel for both residents and functions. We welcome everyone warmly and enjoy looking after them all.
