Having just spent a fantastic weekend at Hornsbury Mill celebrating my grandson James and Laura's wedding I felt it fully justified a rave review. Prior to the event Jane and all the staff went out their way to ensure all our reqests for help and advice were met. On the day I can only describe it as the best wedding... More

Rambling old mill converted into a hotel, which is obviously a popular wedding venue.Stayed for dinner B&B and enjoyed the experience as the staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel is in need of some tlc, but the bedrooms are comfortable and clean. The restaurant menu is quite extensive but unfortunately the food is not exceptional, with a greater... More

went for afternoon tea today with my best friend and our mothers for a belated mothers day afternoon tea and was extremely impressed with the standard of the food (and the amount!), and the good quality service we received. Constantly asked if everything was okay, to which we always replied 'yes' as it really was delicious. Was expecting tea and... More

Called in to have lunch on way home. The lunch time menu was amazing. I recommend the steak cheeseburger with homemade chips and onion rings to any meat eater. The coffee was lovely. Its nice to have the option of hot or cold milk. Compliments to the chef :)

My wife and I didn't actually stay here but we attended a friends wedding and got a peek at their room the day after. The entire place is absolutely beautiful! There is a large pond with a lovely gazebo and lots of wildlife roaming the grounds! There were peacocks, ducks and other birds just chilling out and enjoying the sun... More

Lovely location overlooking a stream and lake; enjoyed seeing the ducks and peacocks in the morning. The room was comfortable and decorated incorporating the original beams from the mill. Fantastic breakfast in a room where the water mill wheel can be seen through a large window. Able to accommodate gluten free. Really friendly and helpful staff, would highly recommend.

A very quaint and we'll run hotel in a pretty rural setting. Uneven floors, exposed beams, low ceilings, and yes are real mill wheel. All in all a truly great atmosphere. A very friendly receptionist gave a warm welcome. Here on business but intending to return for pleasure. The restaurant delivered quality, fresh food which everyone in my party agreed... More

Just returned from a lovely weekends stay at the Hornsbury Mill in Chard. The hotel is set in lovely, scenic grounds. The hotel is quaint. The food and service is of a very high standard, but what was exceptional was how lovely the staff were. Fantastic customer service and friendliness. Will definitely be going back!!

To be honest I am not one to write reviews but this weekend we stayed at Hornsbury Mill where I was speaking at a Trafalgar Night Dinner. We were struck by the fantastic welcome we received and the subsequent first class service. We stayed overnight in a great room and were joined by my elderly parents, mother-in-law and 5 year...
