Reading other reviews, I'd say we were fortunate in 1) asking for a rear-facing room (check out our picture) and 2) having cooler weather in June so that the lack of AC wasn't an issue. Noise for us was never a problem. The central location was a plus (although nothing in this town is very far away from the train... More

The whole building has been newly renovated. The building as such is quite beautiful and according to the brochures this is the oldest hotel in the whole Sweden. The room did not have air conditioning! The hotel had a parking lot just behind the building and the cost of parking was reasonable. The best of the hotel were a good... More

We stayed her for 2 nights in July in a big double room. It was extremely hot the first night and the room had no aircondition, and the noise from the railways and the streets mad it impossible to sleep with the windows open. So it was quit difficult to sleep. The room was huge but old and outdated, with... More

well situated on corner by train station and main pedestrian road to all shops etc. windows provide good sound proofing from trains/road noise. Smallest bathroom ever but good lighting, shelf for toiletries and nice fluffy towels.

We stayed at this charming hotel in Ystad . The room was light and airy and clean. The beds were really comfortable. Our room faced onto the side of the building and it was really quiet. The windows opened so we could enjoy fresh air! Breakfast was good, lots of choice, fresh food and good coffee. Although there isn't,t tea... More

Very nice hotel, great location close to station, very warm welcome, staff extremely courteous and helpful. We stayed in a larger room which was very comfortable and spacious . It was quiet and very clean . Breakfast buffet is good with plenty of fruits, cheese and cereals. Lack of hot dishes more than made up for by the fresh continental breakfast choice. Only... More

The hotel is in a good location near the train station and the town centre. The reception area and restaurant have a certain elegance from a previous era and are attractive. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was fairly basic and though the beds were comfy the decor needed updating. One negative was that our room overlooked... More

We rather enjoyed our stay at the Continental. The location can't be beat if visiting the old town Center. Steps from the front door and you are on the walking streets into city center square. The room we had included a small sitting area. The beds are most comfortable and the hotel is quiet considering its age. It is updated... More

Like so many places, a disproportionate balance of the budget was spent on the reception area and dining room (all marble staircase and stained glass), leaving rather less than ideal for the rooms upstairs, which though moderately comfortable, are very dated, like the bathroom. It was a novelty to be handed an actual key to the door, and had to... More

We stayed here before in 2009 and this time paid a bit extra to get a larger room. Our room 221 had the privilege of having private access to the Hotel balcony and was very spacious indeed. Very friendly and efficient service. Internet was free and quite fast. The ambience of the hotel is superb, with classical decoration, yet modern... More
