Really nice change from modern boutique hotels - a charming old (very old) hotel, right in the centre of Ystad. Our room overlooked the pretty garden between the two buildings that make up the hotel. Very comfortable and cosy.... Great to have windows you can open! Kind staff, very helpful. Breakfast was good too.

We went to this hotel 10 years ago, and returned to celebrate an anniversary. It is a very homely and comfortable hotel and centrally located. The room was very clean with good size rooms. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was great too. We can definitely recommend this hotel for a romantic break!

Stayed overnight on the way back home after having toured Europe for 3 weeks. Husband insisted on Wallanders Ystad... Much enjoyed the lovely town and the lovely, cosy Anno 1793 hotel/guesthouse agreed with the overall "stimmung" of the place. Loved our small but cosy room by the courtyard, sat for a nightcap in the courtyard at the tiny corner table... More

The atmosphere in the hotel was very charming and the location is perfect in the city centre very close to the central square. A nice garden is located inside the hotel buildings, but we did not spend time there. At least our room was quite spacious, but you could sense that the building is old based on the shape of... More

The Hotel was recomended by the very helpfull people in the tourist office. And very helpfull staff in the hotell also. i can only say good things. Very clean room warm and dry. Only a short walk into the town centre, and all the good things there. We were in the Wallander Suite with a picture of Henning Mankell on the... More

This hotel is worth a visit. Plenty of good breakfast, wide variety; the bacon wasn't up to much but then it never is except in the UK. The hotel staff were very friendly, and the room - Wallander Suite, I wonder how many of those there are in Ystad - was large enough and comfortable. Lovely courtyard, though we only... More

We just agree on most other good reviews of this hotel. The enclosed garden gives you just a good feeling. We had a room on the ground floor to Longatan and was lucky enough that the Pub next door was out of business. We would like to come back next time in Ystad.

History is alive around you when you stay at Sekelgarden. The fact that all the rooms are different both in shape and style, and that the buildings have been part of Ystad for several hundred years, add to the charm and the historic atmosphere of the hotel. We stayed in a spacious room at the top floor with comfortable beds... More

This is a small-scale hotel with a guesthouse feel and a lovely setting around its own courtyard. The location is great, very close to the centre of Ystad and only a short walk from the train station with its regular trains to Malmö/Simrishamn and so on. I'm not sure how rooms are allocated but we were unexpectedly lucky to get... More

This family run hotel is set in a lovely timbered house in Ystad's pretty old town, a short walk from the station, port and town centre with places to eat nearby. It has been mentioned in a couple of the 'Wallander' books which is why many people visit the town. It is not accurate to say it is a hotel,... More
