We stayed here while doing the Hadrian's Wall Walk. This is a gorgeous B&B with beautiful views over the countryside. The rooms are have elegant old-school decor and contain everything you could want, including a beautiful bathtub. The breakfast was fantastic. The owner literally went out of her way to give us a wonderful stay. She picked us up in... More

The village location is lovely and there is an excellent restaurant nearby also a local club which will welcome you and the beer is way below pub... More

Stayed for one night with our 17 year old son on the way to the Newcastle Uni open day. Lovely location - great views to open countryside, walks on the doorstep, eating places nearby, short drive to Newcastle. The house itself is beautiful and the owners have decorated it tastefully and in keeping with the period I think. We had... More

I stayed for three nights on business and was made to feel very welcome. The room was very clean and warm and a log fire was lit in the breakfast room in the morning. Close to local pubs with good food and Newcastke is only 10 miles away. I would certainly stay there again.

Mrs Moffitt met us at the 3 tuns pub and returned us there the following day. Great breakfast, ample hot water, very comfortable and beautiful rooms - couldn't ask for more! Great advice about the vallum tea rooms just past the Robin Hood! Don't miss it!

Loved our stay here, the room was very comfortable and clean with a lovely view of a traditional English garden. Tea and coffee making facilities included different teas hot chocolate and biscuits. I stayed just one night but wish it could have been longer. This is a lovely farmhouse B&B with a real emphasis on a friendly welcome and guest service. I stayed in room 1 which is a very pretty double, decorated with a traditional pale blue toile de joie print fabric. Lovely views over farmland and fields. The ensuite shower worked... More

A friend recommended this B&B as being 'excellent' so when we needed to stay in the area for a couple of nights I booked. The booking process was very easy and although the request for a King size bed had not been received by the owner, as soon as we arrived and made it known, our room was changed to... More
