Since my first visit to Pescamaya in 2004 , I have been going back each year at the end of January or early February. Maybe not the best time of the year in terms of fishing potential, but that is a time in the year when I like to take a great break away from the European winter . One... more

After ten week long trips to Pesca Maya, I find myself asking (as I have after my first visit), “shouldn’t you try some place else?” as always I come up with the same answer “no way” Pesca Maya is so perfectly positioned to quickly get out to Ascension Bay as weather permits and to find refuge in Boca Paila when... more

My husband Dave and I first found "Paradise" on a daytrip to Pesca Maya. We have since returned twice and plan on returning every year until we can longer board the boat or lift a rod. Noe is a most gracious and accomodating host, the staff is friendly and helpful and our guide Pancho is simply the best ever. Our... more

What can we say, another perfect stay @ Pesca Maya..fishing, food, hospitality, guides & apprentices as always 1st class. This visit Tim was our hostess with the mostess(!), Noe was off seeing his Chick in France. Tim for the entire stay was faultless, our glasses were never dry, and we as always met some great characters. Pesca Maya, is I... more

My 6th trip to PescaMaya was as amazing and fun as the first five. We caught many bonefish, jacks, barracuda, and a couple of permit mostly on fly rods, but did use our spinning gear a bit. No tarpon this trip...maybe next time. Night fishing from shore yielded some interesting species and a lot of lost tackle!!! Catch a few... more

Ellen and I caught 95 bonefish, I caught 2 permit, and I hooked a tarpon, but ignored our guide's advice, so missed a grand slam. great food, the bar is included in the price, and all rooms air conditioned. This was our 7th trip, and won't be our last. Ed Southwick more

If you are planning on fly-fishing and don't want to drive or be driven every morning from Tulum, then Pesca Maya is an option. My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in April. This is a rustic place situated on the beach with A/C. I think it might be the only place in Punta Allen with A/C. The... more

I booked this with my friends Bob Meade at Yellow Dog fly fishing which is a great group out of Boseman, MT that specializes in saltwater flyfishing trips. Pesca Maya lodge is a wonderful place about 3 hours south of Cancun. Noe and the group runs a great place with good food. Our fishing guide Darwin got us on good... more
