Did A Day trip from Mayan Riviera. As others have said the road is rough but it keeps many out. I have seen way worse. Once there the staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. My guide was geat ndbe sure to bring lures for them. Decent small game lures are very tough to find and very expensive in Mexico.... More

First and foremost, there aren't many mentions of the road conditions getting to the lodge...were we the only ones who thought the road was just a wee bit rough? And by rough, I mean approximately 45 minutes of the biggest pot holes, giant ditches and washed out road I've ever seen. We arrived so car sick we couldn't eat breakfast... More

Pesca Maya is a wonderful place to stay and fish. We stayed 2 nights and had 2 days fishing. We arrived mid-morning and spent the entire day fishing from shore, snorkeling, and laying around in the hammocks! Fishing was great with our young guides Nestor and Ross. My husband caught several bonefish, several snook, and a large snapper. I caught... More

Stayed 2 nights in Robinson House and had 3 full days fishing for bones/permit. Our transportation to resort was right on time and staff were all friendly/helpful . The facility itself is an amazing place. The home cooked meals were all excellent, and special meals were made for my celiac daughter without even asking . Although it isnt peak season,... More

I have done some salt water fly fishing in the Northeast – but have never had the opportunity to go after Bone Fish, Tarpon or Permit. The time I spent fishing at Pesca Maya was absolutely amazing! I was there in the offseason, and we saw only three other boats in two days! We got lots of bones, and I... More

We fished with Pesca Maya yesterday... our guides were Poncho and Eli.. .they were both amazing... patient and worked very hard... the conditions were very tough... cloudy most of the day... they found many schools of bonefish and we cast to 2 permit when the sun came out... this is obviously not their peak season but they worked very hard... We stayed 5 nights, had 4 days of fishing. If I were better at setting the hook, I could have had a Grand Slam on two different days. In fact, I had a legitimate chance at a Grand Slam every day, though the permit got a little spooky and refused the fly on 2 of the days. We lost track... More

The day of fishing was incredible. Please let Henry and Louis know that they did an incredible job helping Chantal hook into a monster 'cuda. Ascention bay is beautiful, full of wildlife and full of fish! Both Henry and Louis had us on fish all day. Being that it was our first time attempting salt water flats fishing, I think... More

My friend Barry and I went to Pesca Maya earlier this month and had a fantastic day's fly fishing. We were staying with our wives on a two week holiday at the Iberostar Grand and got a days pass out. The tour operator through whom we booked this trip didnt really let us know what we were in for (or... More

On February 22, we fished the entire day with Henry. He was amazing. We were novices (not quite beginners), and ended up landing 6 good bonefish on a windy day. Henry kept us on the fish all day, and if we were better each of us would have been in the double digits. Henry kept the boat perpindicular to the... More
