I was a bridesmaid at my friends wedding this weekend and she got married at Holmbush House in a marquee in the grounds. I was lucky enough to stay at the venue the night before, I can not praise this place enough, it is beautiful, bursting with character, the owners are lovely and so is the house keeper who went... My partners brother had booked the venue for his wedding, and it was superb, I'm sure he will write a review to thst effect. We stayed in the rooms overnight. The restoration of the house is perfect and owners add a comfortable air to it. Room was plush and I sank into the bed and fell asleep within minutes. It... More

My partner and I spent one night at Holmbush in the Elizabethan room and it was lovely. The art deco bathroom and beautiful furnishings make for a real treat and talking point. Both Carol and her husband Bob are fascinating to talk to and are obviously passionate and rightly so about their gorgeous home. Breakfast was good too; the scrambled... More

We recently hired Holmbush House for our corporate work Christmas Party. When we booked the venue the owners were very helpful, relaxed and open to any ideas we had to set the scene for our party. The venue was excellent value to hire! In the lead up to the event they were so accomodating and ensured that their house was... More

Although rated highly by other reviewers, we had a slightly odd time at Holmbush House. First, it is really difficult to find. No sign from the main road. Head for the Golf Club. It is not cheap. When you arrive, you'd like tea. We sat looking at a huge pile of ash in the fireplace of the strangely furnished and... More

Holmbush House is indeed rated very highly on other websites and so I can only apologise to this reviewer that property did not satisfy their particular taste, expectations and needs. More

We stayed here because we were going to a wedding nearby and all the other hotels closer to the wedding were booked up. As it turned out this was lucky for us. Holmbush house is extremely comfortable and has lots of charm. Carol, the owner, treated us very well and we had a truly delicious fried breakfast the morning after... More

I took my 87 year old mother to stay with Carole at the Holmbush House Hotel last weekend en route for a family get-together. We were given a thoughtful, warm and hospitable welcome. The house is gorgeous, spotlessly clean and light. The twin-bedded room was spacious and well equipped as was the ensuite bathroom. We had a great breakfast the... More

Holmbush House is a lovely country house set in pretty grounds accessed just inside the entrance to a golf course. The rooms are nicely decorated and our bathroom was modern and inviting. I arrived on a Friday in advance of a family wedding accompanied by my 7 year old son. As a frequent business traveller I know what I want... More

We booked one night here to tie in with a visit to Glyndebourne. At £165 per night it is not cheap but looked like a nice venue for our Silver Wedding weekend. The double room was beautiful with stunning gardens and views over surrounding countryside and the house had an interesting mixture of architecture. Unfortunately we were made to feel... More
