1. Pool out of commission. An email explaining before we got here would have been great. Surprise! 2. No hot water. We told owner, who told us to just wait. We let the water run both days for 15 minutes: ice. 3. Breakfast is so lame. One old apple, none of the beautiful produce growing in the garden, instant coffee,... More

We stayed at this B&B for just one night, and really enjoyed it. We didn't want to leave the day after! Antonino welcomed us with some great, homemade wine, told us the story of his B&B and the places we had to visit in Mazara and around. A real guide! The room was huge, very clean and very nice, the... More

It is in an old historic farm with an enchanting courtyard enclosed on all sides. The pool out front is in the old cistern and it was a pleasure taking the late day sun in it with local wine,... The villa is located a short drive from the city centre of Mazara del Vallo, which was perfect for us as we wanted a private non commercial place away from the buzzing trafic. It is surrounded by vineyards, has a relaxing feel and some interesting history behind it. The rooms are very clean, tended to daily and towels changed daily... More

The hostel is located in a recently (very stylish) renovated farm and has a friendly, positive atmosphere. Quiet, but also very near to the main roads and the city center of Marzala del Vallo. Breakfast was perfect and we recommand the swimmingpool! We enjoyed our stay very much and will certainly will stay here again!

Very warm welcome from this lovely young couple. Authentic, charming little hotel in the middle of a real Italian wineyard. Great sea food made by this amazing local chef !!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Along the Wine Road "Val di Mazara ", settled in between vineyards and olive groves, rises Villa Altair, a typical 18th century Sicilian Country House hosted by one antic Wine Cellar that was restructured to recall the original rural architecture of the territory and to conserve all it's charm. Villa Altair offers the possibility of staying in pleasant and well furnished bedrooms, with complete private bathrooms and a great view to the Sicilian country side and to the old internal courtyard. A rustic environment with all the comfort. It also offers free private parking and a wide external area with a garden and our ancient stoned swimming-pool. Besides offering an abundant morning coffee with the typical products of Sicily, at the country house also works the Altair Food and Wine Club, that, under reservation, can offer tastings, appetizers and dinners with the most traditional products of the region. Just few km, we arrive in the arabic historical city centre and we find the Museum of the Satyr. It's crystal water coastline, all surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, presents beautiful beaches with white and fine send like the "Tonnarella" beach, as well as the unique seaside of "Quarara". The city is also strategic point to go to the natural beauties of the Mediterranean Sea ( Zingaro's Reserve, the islands of Pantelleria and Lampedusa, the Egadi's Islands, the Salinas of Marsala and Trapani, etc.), As well as the remainings of the ancient civilizations (archaeological complex of Selinunte and Segesta, the cities of Mozia and Erice, the Caves of Cusa, the Temples of Agrigento, etc. ) Villa Altair is a perfect rendezvous between sun, sea, nature, culture, traditions, food and wine, and is the ideal place to make your holidays in Sicily unforgettable!
