Angelita could not possibly have been nicer. Our room was fantastic, and the breakfasts were even better. Mazara del Vallo is wonderful town, with many interesting things to see and a lovely lungomare to stroll along. This was a wonderful B&B. We will be back!

When you think about staying at a B&B, you hope for a good breakfast, a comfortable bed in a nice home a bit away from the center of town but close enough to take in the sites, and most of all, an opportunity to interact with the proprietors and learn about the culture. Staying with Angelita and her mother is... More

Our room at La Casa al Sole was extremely comfortable, clean and decorated in a traditional Sicilian style. As other reviewers have noted the breakfast was unsurpassed - an extensive range of homemade and homegrown products. These products were often combined in traditional Sicilian recipes. We have never been offered a better breakfast! Our host - Angelita, could not have... More

we spent an unforgettable time in Casa al Sole. The welcome by our host Angelita, her mother and sister was warm and made us instantly feel at home.During our stay we were introduced to the Sicilian way of living. The breakfast was just one gorgeous example. We had indicated that we like both sweet and savory dishes; well in the... More

I want to thank you very much for such a review, not only because you're flattering us with many nice compliments, but also because you underline a huge problem we are facing in Mazara, as turistic operators, since ever. I would like to report here your last impressive sentences that shows the lack of any advertising about Mazara and its... More

2 Septuagenarian tourists in rented car. Lovely room in a house convenient to the fascinating town. Easy parking outside. Senora Russo prepares the most amazing breakfasts all completely home made from bread to marmalade via ricotta, candied citrus rind and rolls stuffed with home prepared vegetables and olives. All served on a variety of delightful co-ordinated china. The town is... More

We are two Australian couples in our 50's who had 3 weeks to see Sicily and tour Southern Italy. Having only 5 nights in Sicily, we decided on Mazara del Vallo, Agrigento and then 3 nights in Taormina. As we had a late flight from Paris, we didn't arrive at La Casa al Sole until 9.30pm - this was no... More

We stayed here during a business trip in June and the B&B was booked on our behalf. We were not disappointed and had a very comfortable stay. This is a family run B&B and the family are very welcoming and only too pleased to help. Our room was a spacious and clean en suite. Echoing the comments of other reviewers,... More

We where on a trip through Sicily and came across this very nice B&B. The lady that owns the place is the definition of hospitality! She took us to a wine farm, recommended the best restaurants in the area and gave us tips for sight seeing. The breakfast she makes with her lovely mother is the best of whole Sicily.... More
