Had a wonderful two-night stay here with Andrew and Sue, very friendly and welcoming hosts. They had great recommendations for the area and were chatty without being overbearing. Breakfast was delicious - particularly the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on toast. Very good, strong coffee as well. A great base for enjoying the distilleries around Dufftown.

Good breakfast, comfortable accommodation and friendly and helpful hosts. The bathroom was very small, shower temperamental and the wash basin so small that it was completely inadequate for a decent wet shave. The cleanliness was a bit questionable - tooth mug dirty, bedroom tea pot not emptied and some corners and surfaces didn't look as if they had been cleaned... More

What a beautiful Victorian building. Extremely friendly owners. Homely feel with a guest longue; books and dvds to borow, family photos and memorabilia. Hall and breakfast room have such character with many samplers. Bedroom was cute and had old touches such a a servant's bell. Big wrought iron bed. Our room was at the back over looking and looking up... More

We enjoyed our stay at Davaar. The location was convenient and Susan and Andrew were wonderful hosts. They gave good advice on things to see and do while in Dufftown. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The food was delicious! The common room was nice. There were movies, books and games that could be borrowed. We wouldn't... More

We stayed for two nights when in the area to see distilleries and the local cooperage. The B&B was excellent, lovely breakfast. i tried and thoroughly enjoyed ( & would recommend both) the full Scottish breakfast one day and the scrambled egg & smoked salmon the next day. Having read these reviews now I note that i should have tried... More

Located right in the middle of Dufftown this is a great place to start exploring Dufftown and the many Speside destilleries. The hosts are very friendly and helpfull. They will guide you to the current happenings in town. And they will serve you a great breakfast made from fresh local products - highlighting the homemade yoghurt, and the hens just... More

We were welcomed by the friendly owners, the bedroom was very confortable, the water of the shower was warm and relaxing and the Scotish breakfast was a feast. Our room had a great view to the street. It is very cetrally located and the atmosphere is very nice.

We stayed at Davaar for one night only, passing through Dufftown en route to hiking parts of the Speyside way. Davaar is very centrally located and easy to find, and we received a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival. We stayed in a double room upstairs at the back of the house. The room was of sufficient size, and very... More

After finding the centrally located B&B very easily, we then had a very friendly welcome into the establishment. The owner himself showing us around and recommending some local places to visit. We had the twin room upstairs at the front of the house. We were the only occupants, due to the time of year of our visit, and it was therefore... More

Just steps from the Clock Tower, Davaar may be slightly faded, but it is clean, efficient and well run. Honestly, it is not the most attractive B&B I’ve ever stayed in, but Sue is kind, gracious and runs a tight ship. We had a spacious twin room (60£ per night) and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was very... More
