Stuart and Helen are the perfect hosts. The food was excellent and the welcome second to none. The room we stayed in was possibly the best we have ever had in a B&B. We stayed for 4 nights and wanted for nothing while we were there. Their local knowledge was really useful when deciding where to visit. Helen even organised... More

Warmly greeted by Helen and Stuart and offered coffee upon arrival. Couple take an interest in their guests and offer suggestions regarding points of interest and places to visit in the village and surrounding area.

Clean, comfortable and close are three words i'd use to describe Dunvegan B&B. The owners, Stuart and Helen, are wonderfully friendly and serve up a lovely breakfast. The small cruet of whisky left in the rooms as a welcome was a very nice touch. Parking is on the street, but we had no trouble finding any. We had three rooms... More

We spent two nights in this quaint B&B. Stuart and Helen were very welcoming with a wee dram of whisky waiting for us in our rooms (which is a lovely touch). The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast prepared fresh every morning. Two of the rooms share a bathroom but we were a party of five so we had sole... More

We stayed there for one night during our Scotland round trip. The B&B is located in the centre of Dufftown and also in walking distance of the large Glenfiddich Distillery. The owner are very friendly, helpful and Stuart is very funny to talk to. The room was ok with a small bottle of Whisky to enjoy. The B&B has a... More

We had an absolutely great stay during our recent tour of Scotland. Our host helped us find great activities and places to eat. The traditional Scottish breakfast was amazing. We definitely highly recommend Dunvegan!

We stayed at this lovely little place only one night but it was great. We enjoyed the adorable room we had and the good breakfast. Dufftown is small and easy to walk to anything you need. Very easy access to distilleries. If you want to visit Scotch Whisky distilleries than this is a great place to stay! The hosts were... More

We stayed here in June 2011 and come from Spain to enjoy Scotland. We arrived Dufftown to visit the Whiskey distilleries and we felt in love with this town. The room was really comfortable and the breakfast really tasty. Totally recommend

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At Dunvegan Bed and Breakfast close to the centre of Dufftown your hosts Stuart & Helen aim to offer you first class comfort and hospitality. Dunvegan is a large stone built 19th-century house located close to the centre of Dufftown - The Malt Whisky Capital of the World. Dufftown nestles in a valley dominated by Ben Rinnes (840m/2755ft) and has the highest concentration of distilleries anywhere in Scotland. An old saying was "Rome was built on seven hills but Dufftown’s built on seven stills;" this no longer applies as there are now nine. Apart from distilleries Dufftown has something for everyone - golf, fishing, walking, wildlife, history, skiing and much more. At the end of your day exploring everything Dufftown and the surrounding area has to offer return to Dunvegan where all our rooms have comfortable beds and TV, tea/coffee making facilities, central heating and for your comfort in winter, electric blankets. We can offer 2 x double, en-suite rooms and a twin room with private facilities. We also offer our guests free WiFi internet connection. There is also a Residents lounge where you can sit and watch television, read the literature about Dufftown and its surrounding area or enjoy a conversation with fellow travellers. We also serve evening meals but these must be booked prior to arrival. ... more   less
