We disturbed Allan while taking a nap, but that dit nothing to his friendly welcome. A very nice B&B. Good rooms, clean and with good beds. A quiet place in the night, no traffic noise reached the room at the back. Great breakfast, very well cooked. The place also has a restaurant and a whisky bar. There is free Wifi... More

We spent one night in this very nice GuestHouse in Duftown. It is more than a B&B, nearly a hotel with only a few rooms. Room was very lovely and absolutely clean. Breakfast was outstanding, you can chose from a menu in addition to the buffet. The Scottish Breakfast was great, freshly made. The host was very friendly and helpful.... More

Travelled to Dufftown for a meeting in Glen Dullan Distillery the following morning, luckily found a room at the Tannochbrae, food was excellent with the best carrots I have ever tasted baked in butter with star anise, the owner Allan and his staff could not have been any nicer, don't be out off by the Guest House status it is... This establishment is a total rip off, and shows the Scottish Tourist Industry in a very dim light. Sadly, overseas visitors don't realise they are being seriously ripped off here. The whisky bar is massively overpriced, there are much nicer and less expensive bars within walking distance. I have stayed in bed and breakfast establishments all over the country and... More

What can I say about the Tannochbrae Guest House!!!!! I have been deliberating my review for a few days now as both myself and my husband still can not believe what happened to us during our stay there. Apon arrival we were met by the owners son who was very pleasant, he showed us around the guest house and then... More

A fantastic B&B to accommodate your stay in this whisky fantasyland part of Scotland. The 4 of us stayed in the two rooms on the upper floor. Both are clean, nicely styled and convenient; one is more spacious than the other. Alan is charming and a lot of fun. For breakfast, ask for Misty Beans (beans on toast sprayed with... More

On the 5th of June, we were looking for accommodation in Craigellachie and I went into a hotel which, I was told was full already. The receptionist told me he could help and called the Tannochbrae Guest House to see if they had rooms for the night. I talked to somebody called John on the phone and he took my... More

I discovered the Tannochbrae, while searching online for fine dining restaurants in Dufftown. My partner and I were staying at the Craigellechie Hotel, but were not impressed by the menu there. So we decided to try the Tannochbrae, with it being just a few miles away. I called the restaurant at around 4.30pm, and spoke to the co owner Alan.... More

The Tannochbrae is very nice guest house located in the middle of the Speyside whisky district. The capital of Scots whisky. Within walking distance of the Gelnfiddich distillery and several other distilleries. The bar holds over 300 different whiskeys. And Alan can tell you all about them. If you are a whisky ner, then this is the place. The food served... More
