We visited the Mutiara resort during our one night stay in Taman negara. Because our bad experience with the travel agency where we arranged our jungle trekking, this resort really made everything in perfect balance! Friendly staff, great location and beautiful and clean accomodations. The food in the restaurant was good and we skipped the night trekking to get the... More

We booked and prepaid for a four night stay at this hotel to discover the rainforest and national park. Unfortunately, severe flooding closed the entire area and the hotel was forced to close prior to our scheduled arrival. We had to revise our travel plans and ended up spending the four nights in Kuala Lumpur. It is hard to believe,... More

We had reservations at this resort in the rain forest for the end of December of 2014. We received an E-mail from Han Travel and a note from the concierge at the Shangri-La hotel that there was severe flooding in that area and that the place was being evacuated by helicopter and canoes. We received a note from Hotels.com that... More

We wanted to discover the rainforest and found this property suitable for the region. Although not a great option its just ok for an experience. The journey in the boat is too long and not so exciting after a point. The resort is widespread over an area but the cottages have no room service and telephone. Also very average rooms-dusty,... The Taman Negara Resort is not perfect but still the best options (but more expensive) for exploring the Taman Negara. Contras - Bungalows are old and not very clean (lots of dust, dead insects ..) - We had a mouse in our room and switched rooms in the night - Breakfast is only ok Pro - Location Location Location =... We had a great time staying at here. Pleasant rooms with good facilities. We did three very good activities including the night walk ( not to be missed), a trip to the local waterfall and the canopy walk, all with local excellent guides. We were very impressed by the knowledge of our guides. Small shop in the complex. Meals fine... More

We spent four nights here and really enjoyed the activity options and the ability to relax as well. Located along the river, just 2kms from the Canopy Walk, this retreat makes for a great location from which to explore the beautiful rainforest and its rivers. One can do the boardwalks or one can explore the terrain from some of the... More

In our recent visit to Taman Negara, Malaysia, we stayed two nights at Mutiara Taman Negara. It is the only resort in the park, and thus if you wish to stay comfortably in the pristine primary jungle at Kuala Tahan, search no more! The first night we stayed in a two bedroom bungalow and the second night we stayed in... More

Don't listen to the negative comment from some guest. Come and experience at Mutiara, beautiful resort, friendly staff and good food. Amazing activities with nature tour guide...I talk to sabri, the manager with camera and agreed what he said,...an experience beyond word!

It is situated in the middle of the world's oldest rainforest and yields an excellent variety of flora and fauna. Cosy and warm design, the chalets are situated at the edge of the forest and accessible by a short minute boat to cross the river for rm1/- per trip. An elegant open air restaurant with good food and friendly staff.... More
