There is nothing wrong with this hotel. Rooms are spacious, clean and has a very nice atmotsphere. But it s far too expensive for what it is. Breakfast is ok, fruit, pancakes, eggs, bread... The usual. The only thing is that it's the only resort there so they have all the right to ask more money. We booked all our... More

We had a great time at the Mutiara; everyone that worked there was extremely pleasant, the rooms were great, and the location was perfect for what we wanted. We didn't book any activities through them as we found that we could save money by crossing the river and booking directly with the guides instead. The Mutiara Restaurant was better than... More

We stayed for 3 day's at the mutiara resort and did all the activities they had to offer except the overnight jungle trip. The boat ride from the bus station to the resort will take you roughly 2 hours and is an experience for itself. Once there, you have to take a rivertaxi to get to other side of the... More

Lots of activities for nature lovers with the unforgettable cannopy walk and boat river tour being my highlight..was only here fr a night but feel like i could have stayed longer to try out other activities.. Try to find Mr Sati, the Operations Mngr, whom is very friendly and informative.. You can either choose to make your stay very active... More

We stayed for 2 nights. When booked we were not told hotel had been closed for 3 months due to flood damage! It opened 6 weeks ago and the main restaurant is still closed. The standby is a hall with little atmosphere. Manager is very helpful but other staff seem disinterested. You come here for the jungle experience, but the... More

An unforgettable experience and the best place to stay in the Taman Negara! The journey to MUTIARA from Kuala Lumpur: We booked our transfer with HAN travel for about 170MYR pp. Minibus took around 2.3 hours, we waited in the 'port' for 2hrs then the eventful long tail boat ride took 3hrs. We got stuck in the shallow water for... More

I booked to stay in the hostel and they kept messing around with my booking but eventually confirmed it a few weeks before. It was a bit bizarre to get a welcome drink and cold towel and then be placed in a rather run down hostel. The air conditioning worked well but the toilets need renovating and I had hoped... More

We stayed at Mutiara for three nights. Place is ideally located for visiting the national park. The stuff is very friendly and super polite. Only service at the restaurant was little slow and not attentive enough. You could have come and sat there without anybody bothering for 10 minutes easily. The food at the restaurant although quite costly was ok... More

This hotel while on the expensive side is definitely the only place to base yourself when venturing into Taman Negara. Basically you are already in the Park. The food is great! Book a guide if your stay is short to ensure you don't miss anything. We had a family chalet. It was enough for 2 nights and the kids enjoyed... More

Cute little chalet, good A/C! Great place base yourself to visit the rain forest. Night walk wasn't really worth it but the trek and boat ride were good. Staff very friendly, food pretty good. We booked through Han Travel, they were good, mad drivers though!
