Postive: large room and bathroom, quiet (apart from church ringing from 7am), ideal location for castle visits. Beautiful building (on the outside) Negative:- out dated, needs brightening up, receptionist alone to cater for incoming/out going guests and those wanting to use the spa, poor thing had to run around like headless chicken. Would of thought for saturday they'd have extra staff... More

This is our second stay here and since last year (2013) we are a little disappointed with our stay. We have Sofia room which is a little sad and needs updating - there is a tiny toilet directly off the bedroom with no window nor working extractor. The shower is dated and the tap leaks. The room is very small... More

We enjoyed our stay here, it is an ideal base for exploring the Loire valley. The rooms are a little quirky, but the daily complimentary water was a nice touch. The restaurant produced high quality breakfasts and mouth-wateringly delicious dinners.

I really enjoyed staying here. The place is just like a castle. The rooms are very comfortable, the bathroom is modern, but at the same time, the place is made on wood giving an impression of an old and well preserved chateau. Very nice stop when visiting the Loire castles. But pay attention to the city, it is SO SMALL... More

We have recently stayed in a 3* Hotel in Manchester (the Castlefield) which was better. Room size – Insufficent space to walk around the bed without hitting yourself on the bed or the Wardrobe. Storage space not enough for 6 nights. We did not unpack our suitcases. Room facilities – No tea or coffee making facility, No Mini Bar (Fridge)... More

I got with my couple a gift consisting in a night to choose between some hotels in France, and we choosethis one because of is location. Its in an excelent point if you are planning to go and visit the Chateaux de la Lorie route...Of course it helps a lot if you have your own car or you rent one...... More

Stayed one night here on our way back home from the Dordogne. The receptionist who came to show us the room could not have been friendlier or more helpful. She had not been there long so was not sure about easy access to the restaurant, so found out and came back to tell us in person rather than ‘phone. As... More

Our group of 15 people stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The hotel was arranged by a European hotel specialist. Le Domaine des Thomeaux was very disappointing for a number of reasons. With a group of this number we had access to many of the rooms. We also heard varying comments. Some of our guests were happy with their... More

All in all the hotel is not bad but the fact that our baggage was unexpectedly moved to another room is not great at all. When we returned to the hotel evening for a sleep the staff informed us that we were moved. Which basically means that they had to touch our personal things. For example my hand watch ended... More

I have stayed at Domaine des Thomeaux on 2 occasions. It's a good 3 star country style hotel with interesting "themed" rooms that vary in size, but are comfortable and well equipped. The location in Mosnes is good as a base to explore the Loire chateaux, although there is nothing really around there so you have to eat at the... More
