I stayed at this B&B on my first and last nights on a recent trip to Tasmania - it had many pluses (as stated in other reviews) but did not measure up to others that we stayed at during the trip. It was not as clean as it could have been and the folder with information on places to dine... More

Very old house with outstanding views from front, lovely log fire lounge and lots of great facilities like TV with DVD library and computer complete with printer available for use. Managers were very friendly and willing to accommodate specific dietary requirements. There is also a fridge a microwave available for guests so can, if necessary, do a little self-catering. En... The bell at Reception at Orana House is just like those pictured in the TV series Downton Abby. Throughout the Orana House B & B there are similar touches of elegant old-world elegance. It was a wonderful, historic place to stay, comfortable, well-appointed, with an excellent breakfast service and a kind and exceedingly helpful staff.

Thankyou so much for a beautiful experience, great historical little place with yummy breakfast. Really enjoyed the view and the room was soooo comfortable and warm and cosy. Owners were lovely too. Wonderful main room so warm and enjoyed watching a movie with my family - plus the biscuits were lovely hehe

What a great place! The owner is absolutely charming and has thought of all the little touches to make her guests comfortable. Our room was spacious and very comfy. Our bathroom was also designed to accommodate someone with disabilities, although we did not need those features. The breakfast was lovely and the free wi-fi was appreciated. Only negative is that... Such a beautiful historic Tasmainia home. I slept in the most comfortable four poster bed, the room was ample with heating, tea and coffe facilities and seating area. There is a wonderful family room for guest to enjoy the open fire and tea coffee and biscuits to help yourself to. The owner and her family are very welcoming and helped... More

An absolute gem, what a treasure this place. The managers of this property went out of their way to help us with our needs. The b&b is very clean, they accomodated my family and nothing was a problem. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Would highly recommend this is a must stay place, the service is second to none.

We enjoyed 2 days B&B in 2 double rooms in the old part of the house. Mother and daughter managing the house were delightful and very helpful. The breakfasts were delicious. The room by the front door with a lovely view of the gardens, river and bridge has a very small bathroom with hardly any room to move. The other... More

The room was comfortable and included comforts like wifi and tea set. The owners were amazingly helpful and friendly. It's a bit of a walk into Hobart, but a bus stop is quite close. Downsides were that the room was small and either the walls were thin or we had pretty noisy neighbors.
