We stayed one night on our way back to the U.K. Went wine tasting in a nearby village in the afternoon and then checked in at Auberge le Relais. Very comfortable room with a large bathroom and a fantastic view overlooking the garden and the mountains. Very quiet and beautiful location. We hadn't realised that the restaurant had a Michelin... We were staying nearby and went searching for somewhere to spoil ourselves for dinner. This place is absolutely superb. Without a booking they were able to find a table in their lovely main room which enjoys sweeping views down the valley, made all that much better by a sunny evening. Rather than their Degustation menu we opted for 2 courses... More

This Auberge is an absolute gem nestled in the beautiful Champagne countryside. We have returned many times over the past 10 years during our vineyard visits, and our stay this year was as comfortable and enjoyable as ever. The hosts and the staff are always welcoming, and make our stay warm and relaxing. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the... More

We continue to spend one night at this hotel each time we come to France (see our earlier review). It is perfectly located for us either for the first night in France or the last night before catching the shuttle. We have now fallen into the habit of enjoying a champagne meal. A bottle of champagne is ordered, a couple... More

Whenever I am in France and go visit my family we spend a night at l'Auberge le Relais. It's a quite little hotel, the room are nice a clean, and the breakfast is always really good, a real french breakfast with fresh bread, croissants, and other yummy french pastries. The restaurant is pretty amazing and the scenery is just perfect!... More

We have only been visiting this hotel for three years and each time we leave we cannot wait to get back. We always try and arrive early in the afternoon in order to take advantage of the terrace with its beautiful views over the old village church, the Marne valley and the vineyards where we can enjoy our first glass... Sometimes a good measure of an establishment is to take the opportunity to revisit and compare. We did just that last week and this time we brought along some discerning friends who were staying in the region from Australia. The lunch we enjoyed in the restaurant did not disappoint in any respect. As before, we put ourselves in the hands... More

Like others writing reviews here, we were staying at the Champagne B&B just over the road, and our hosts made the booking for us. We had the very good value set menu (remember this is a Michelen starred restaurant, not cheap, but extremely good value) The restaurant was full and ours was a last minute booking so we were inside,... We spotted the Auberge in the Michelin guide and it was en route for us to the Jura - so we decided to try it and were delighted that we did. Madame Berthuit was so helpful when we had to change our first booking because of work commitments, and when we discovered that their accommodation would be full on our... More
