We stayed for a week due to a time share swap. The quality of the hotel was well below that of the one we were swapping from. The rooms and bathrooms are simple but need work. There were cracked tiles in the room and bathroom and no shower curtain. The common areas are also very plain. On the positive side... More

An amazingly 'couldn't care less' attitude at the end of the season! Could we check on earlier than 4 pm? No (Even though the hotel was half empty) Could we have an ashtray for the balcony No (They said yes, but it didn't show up!) Could I have a new light bulb for the bedside light? No Not for 2... Boyfriend and I were there for a week, and we hail from North America, so the spa was very disappointing. You are required to book at least 3 treatments as part of your stay, and we tried it out the first day only. First treatments was being covered in algae. The spa rooms had chipped tiles, and very poor lighting.... More

I booked into the hotel which looked like a 1970's prefab but as the location was so good I decided to continue the Bed room and the bathroom looked and smelt like an Underfunded health clinic. The staff are not at all helpful.leave it out of your holiday itinary if you can

My husband & I was there for a week. On arrival ( we drove and were early for check-in) is was very good with the reception who DO SPEAK ENGLISH, and they found us a room within 30 mins and as it had no view, which I did not like, so they gladly changed it for a better one. The... More

Reserved via hotels.com. The phone number in the system was wrong (a number in Paris). Reservation was not found at the reception when we arrived, so we had to call hotel.com hotline. So, we lost more than an hour in the middle of the night in the lobby - instead of sleeping. The personal at the reception said, that, to... More

The room was basic, but comfortable. the staff struggled to talk and understand English. so if you only speak English, then be prepared to get a little frustrated. we decided to do the Dinner in the restaurant on the first night. well that was the last time we ate there. 60 Euro for a underwhelming dinner, in fact i would... Relaxing stay at Thalacap. Had to insist to get a room with a view, but it wasn't a problem. First reaction is that the rooms are simple, functional and NO added frills. In fact when the restaurant/bar closes, you can get nothing to eat or drink from anywhere in the establishment and you are quite a way from the town.... More

It helps to speak French and understand something about French culture to get the most out of this place. This is not a hotel, it is somewhere between a hospital and a hotel, so do not expect luxury accommodation. In fact, the accommodation is quite basic and rather tired in a 1960 retro way, it reminded me of the 1960s... More

This modern looking hotel is really bare bones and needs to be warmed up and updated. It is cold (not temperature wise) in atmosphere and the welcome is very lukewarm. Located high above the village of Banyuls-sur-Mer, it has beautiful views over the water front. But once you've looked at the view, you've about exhausted the charms of the place.... More
