I was there last week with my husband and have nothing but positive things to say about this hotel. First and foremost, the personal service and attention from both the owner and manager, is very genuine and highly engaging. Secondly, the food is excellent, fresh, and made from local ingredients, but with a modern flair. Though the decor and the... More

This is the most environmentally friendly hotel in which we have ever stayed. Everything is either recycled or chosen with particular care as to how it would work with the surrounding forest. The room was modest but comfortable. The gardens were lovely and the bird feeder which was at eye level had everyone gathering on the balcony to observe the... More

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at the start of out trip to Costa Rica. We were warmly welcomed by Joel upon our arrival and we were extremely impressed by the friendly and helpful hosting from him and Eric - nothing is too much trouble and the passion for what they do is highly infectious. The Eco friendly... More

We really enjoyed our night's stay at this eco-lodge. Mostly open-air and propped on the side of a mountain, we felt we were part of the environment. The adjacent hiking trail was beautiful. Bring warm clothes. You are in a rain forest and it can get chilly.

Nice property gardens and well kept trail for bird watching. Food was delicious and Joel explained what was served at dinner. Enjoyed watching the kitchen staff prepare meals. Joel and Eric was very interactive with guests; speaking English, French, and Spanish as needed to accomodate everyone. It was a very plesant surprise that they initiated an outing for us when... Wonderful wildlife and the best food in Costa Rica. Who would have expected gourmet French food! The nearby jungle hiking trail is well-manicured, with steps and handrails where needed, and offers excellent views into the trees. The Lodge has quite a few rules about noise and dirt on shoes, but they did not seem very concerned about imposing the rules.

Wonderful experience and a great base for going hiking, white water rafting or horse riding. Food was really interesting too and they even provided packed lunches when we went on day long excursions. Joel, the owner, was absolutely brilliant - full of good humour and great advice.

We stayed 2 nights but 3 or 4 would also have been great. The lodge's rooms are spatious and well equipped, there is an indoor hot tub surrounded by tropical fauna, and finally their meals (lunches, petit-dejeuners and diners) are really good. They blend french with middle-american quisine. The location of the lodge is perfect for all kinds of activities.... More

Through a series of bizarre events, we found ourselves at the Celeste Mountain Resort for New Years Eve. Everything about that place was perfect--the room, the food, the resort grounds and of course the staff. The design of the resort does a great job of integrating the outdoors with the trendy, chic, yet relaxed interior. The gourmet food was tasty,... More

The Celeste Mountain Lodge was a perfect place for a part of our 2 week trip to Costa Rica. We stayed 4 nights, enjoying superb accomodations (our room was the one showed on tripadvisor initial pic page), with excellent service. 3 daily food offerings were innovative and delicious. The hotel architecture is stunning, landscaping, and views are stunning (even though... More
