We chose the Hotel Melia Atlanterra because I’m a keen historian and fan of Lord Nelson. This was about the nearest point to Cape Trafalgar we could place ourselves and about the furthest distance my husband felt he could comfortably drive from Malaga airport. The journey takes approx two and a quarter hours and we used the toll roads where... more

In general really good. And the location... great!!!! Perhaps, too many germans running very early in the morning into the breakfast restaurant in order to get the best place outside and staying sitting there for hours. But except for that, I really liked it. A pity the problem we had with our expectations with the room: When I reserved the... more

Good accomodation, good food, excellent staff and best swimming pool ever. Perfect Holiday. One negative, car parking can be difficult and a car is needed as hotel is 4K from Zahara more

This is a chain/tourist hotel - and none the worse for that.Well kept and direct access to a very good beach. Food ok but drinks very overpriced.Staff are pleasant and efficient.Pool is nice The hotel is about 4 km from Zahara de Los Atunes ( ZDLA)which itself is not exactly Ibiza Town ( people are very leathery looking) so in... more

Great hotel-its got everything you need!! My boyfriend and I just wanted a quiet holiday lying by the pool all day, popping to the beach and this hotel was just perfect. The room was big, had a balcony with a table and chairs, the room was cleaned every day, the breakfast was amazing and as we had booked half board... more

Loved this hotel, the layout is quite unusual and you would never know you were in a hotel, it's so quiet at night. You are guaranteed a great nights sleep. NO teenagers at all but lots of small children. There are 2 pools, the main pool is huge and a lovely smaller one near the entrance to the beach, both... more

This hotel was nice, with a gorgeous swimming pool, very tranquil very nice beach (and located right behind the hotel, 1min walk) with good service, nice spacious room and okay food. The restaurant, drinks and spa is definately over-priced, but other than that we enjoyed ourselves. more

This is a resort hotel run by the Melia chain, and for what it is, I think it is absolutely wonderful. The rooms a large, perfectly clean with marble and tile floors and bathrooms (not a speck of sand despite being at the beach). The pool is possible the most gorgeous pool I have ever seen with columns, outdoor bar/grill,... more

This is an ugly touristy dump. Visitors to the area should head for a small hostal in Caños de Meca such as Hotel Madreselva or Hotel La Breña. At least they are small and authentic. Zahara de los Atunes is a concrete jungle, whereas Caños is paradise. more
