Location: The hotel is located approximately 2 hrs drive from Kota Kinabalu. It is approx 10 minutes drive from Ranau city (small city). The hotel is at the top of the hill. So arrange for transportation while you are at Kota Kinabalu or else, you will be left stranded at the hotel. Ranau area is green and beautiful and you'll... More

Simply awesome view of Mt Kinabalu from our chalets. Remember to choose chalet no. 13. If it is not available, then ask for chalet no.14, 12 or 11. I promise you will be happy. There are 3 outdoor round tables with a few chairs on the patio right outside the chalets for your dining pleasure and in privacy, amidst the... More

Hotel outlook seem 2-3 star hotel. Room quite outfashion, urgent refurbishment needed, bed is old springed bed, room door hard to close. Limited tv channel. Nothing much to do after dinner. Sleep early and can't wait to leave this place next day. Breakfast & dinner keep your expectation low bcos tis is rural area, food quality and variety are acceptable.... More

Stay a night at Mount Kinabalu Heritage Resort & Spa booked thru Travel Agent. We are check-in late almost 7pm and we were total 6 rooms. The reception arrange all rooms at same floor and nearby. This was up for our expectation as we were requested earlier. Room was nice and quite big with Mount Kinabalu view. Really cold at... More

Receptionist not friendly and irresponsible. Check-in time should 2 pm and I only able to check-in at 3.30 pm with reason room is not ready which booked for 3 rooms and 2 rooms are not ready. When I'm asking estimate the room is ready, reception only replied with unwilling answer and said don't know and explain one floor only have... More

The surrounding environment with picturesque greenery and bird chirping are enchanting. However the room is terrible. The carpet is stained and torn. The room is smelly. I finished spraying one whole bottle of air-freshener but could not get rid of the bad smell. The WIFI is only available in the lobby. There are not many tv channels to choose. We... More

We stayed for just 1 night only. Thank god it's only 1 night. It's a nightmare for us. We booked a chalet type not knowing it was located high up in the forest. Rooms were smelly and rather old. Not well maintained at well , very run downed . We had to change to a better room , so we... More

The hotel is in a lovely position on the mountain and has a good sized restaurant. Dinner was a selection of Chinese food which was well cooked but breakfast was a disappointment as the food was barely luke warm. Reception area and shop is nice and light and modern but the rooms are very disappointing. The bathroom in room 307... More

Spent holiday with my parents in April 2012. Prefer this hotel than the neighbouring hotel as it is located at the hilltop.. Stayed in the deluxe room at the hotel tower.. Loved the mountain-view.. The Kinabalu mountain was clearly seen at 5 morning direct from my window! Cold weather.. Room - appreciate if the Management could do some improvements Cafe... More

When we walked into the 1st room we were shown to I knew I couldn't stay there. It smelt damp and mouldy and, indeed, the plaster was pealing off the walls as a result. The bath had been painted and all the enamel was worn away. There were scorch marks all over the sharpest -it was disgusting. My husband went... More
