We stayed at the Sabah tea plantation for 2 nights while on a tour. We stayed in the cottages, not the long house. The cottages were very cute. They had a sitting room and then a bedroom and bathroom. The facilities in the room were basic, however, the room was comfortable to reside in. The views of Mt. Kinabalu was... More

We stayed overnight recently & were very happy with the clean, fresh, comfortable cottages. The rooms are small but adequate & there was plenty of hot water. We were happy with that. Breakfast next morning was again, adequate but with a bit more care could have been good. How difficult is it to serve toast warm? The semi open air... More

We came to Sabah Tea Garden to tour the tea factory and plantation. We called ahead of time and they told us to come between 8-11am. We got there at 10am and they said the factory facilities had already finished work so when we toured the factory, there was nothing to see but shut-down machines (of course, they still charged... We stayed here for one night on a tour through to sandakan. It was so so beautiful and peaceful! Loved the food and restaurant . Basic but it was open so you really could hear, see and take in your surroundings! It was just so peaceful and I have so many lovely memories and pictures if this lovely place! It's... More

To be fair they are honest that there is nothing to do here and they really are not lieing. I think this place is only suitable for a stop over on the way to something else. We stayed in one of the cottages and it was infested with ants. The room was clean apart from the ant invasion but its... More

A friend and I stayed in the cottages here for one night while exploring Sabah. As soon as you drive on to the property via the winding dirt road you know you've found something kind of special. The lush, green surroundings, combined with Mount Kinabalu in the background, make for a pretty memorable view. The cottages themselves were very clean,... More

A good base for Ranau area and Poring Hot Springs. Don't expect the Ritz, but the cottages have a charming exterior with a nice view. Inside, they are clean and comfortable. Only soft drinks, beer and rice wine is available at the bar. The cottages are not serviced daily which is somewhat surprising, but not essential. The Tea Garden Restaurant... More

The place and view is magnificent! But the Service is bad. F&B is terrible. We went there last weekend for a stay. Firstly, they say no need to pay for our dinner. The next morning, ask us to pay for the dinner! Even it doesn't cost us a lot.

2 nights here was perfect. The little cottages ARE charming, the hot water works, the AC works, the beds are comfy, the entire place is spic an span. What's not to like? Evidently, the longhouse - which is pretty rudimentary and I wouldn't think of staying there because this is mosquito central! Early morning walks from cottages to see the... More

As we drove up the steep gravel road we did question our choice of accommodation but that didn't last long. We were the only ones in the cottages so it was very quiet. Our cottage was very comfortable, loads of hot water, amazing sunset and views in the early morning of Mt Kinabalu. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner was a... More
