The best part about this place has got to be the service. It began with the first email we sent to them to book our room. The lady doing the room reservations very kindly informed us that there was a promotion on Groupon, and that if we did the payment via Groupon, we would be able to enjoy a substantial... More

Stunning views both in the afternoon/evening and in the morning at sunrise. You get a great view of Mount Kinabalu from the tea plantation. There are cottages or the longhouses to stay in. We were in a cottage, which was comfortable with a little sofa/TV area as well as a double and single bed and bathroom. Staff were very friendly... More

On arrival at the tea plantation our room hadn't been cleaned yet even though it was after five 'o' clock so we were moved to another cottage. Having been told they were 3 star quality we were disappointed with the accommodation. The rooms were small and dark with no where comfortable to sit and the bathrooms were basic and part... More

There are two types of accommodation here: Cottages and a rustic, bamboo longhouse. I stayed in the latter. Built in traditional style the Bamboo Longhouse is a rustic experience. The rooms are small and basic with basic lighting, a wash basin and mosquito nets. Shower and toilet facilities are communal but clean. Being made entirely out of bamboo and wood,... More

We were staying in the cottages which were simple but pleasant. Highlights were the meal in the restaurant watching an amazing electric storm in the distance. Also really enjoyed the tour of the tea factory, I'd never really appreciated the process and we had a great tour of the factory, only an hour or so, but long enough. It's a... More

This tranquil place is great for one night. The nature of a longhouse is that you sleep in close proximity to other tourists.the bamboo longhouse had rooms with 3 beds all close together with mosquito nets. Cold shower for me. And you sleep once the last person goes quiet until the first person gets up. Very noisy sleeping conditions.but quaint,... More

We stayed at the Sabah tea plantation for 2 nights while on a tour. We stayed in the cottages, not the long house. The cottages were very cute. They had a sitting room and then a bedroom and bathroom. The facilities in the room were basic, however, the room was comfortable to reside in. The views of Mt. Kinabalu was... More

We stayed overnight recently & were very happy with the clean, fresh, comfortable cottages. The rooms are small but adequate & there was plenty of hot water. We were happy with that. Breakfast next morning was again, adequate but with a bit more care could have been good. How difficult is it to serve toast warm? The semi open air... More

We came to Sabah Tea Garden to tour the tea factory and plantation. We called ahead of time and they told us to come between 8-11am. We got there at 10am and they said the factory facilities had already finished work so when we toured the factory, there was nothing to see but shut-down machines (of course, they still charged... We stayed here for one night on a tour through to sandakan. It was so so beautiful and peaceful! Loved the food and restaurant . Basic but it was open so you really could hear, see and take in your surroundings! It was just so peaceful and I have so many lovely memories and pictures if this lovely place! It's... More
