To be fair they are honest that there is nothing to do here and they really are not lieing. I think this place is only suitable for a stop over on the way to something else. We stayed in one of the cottages and it was infested with ants. The room was clean apart from the ant invasion but its... More

A friend and I stayed in the cottages here for one night while exploring Sabah. As soon as you drive on to the property via the winding dirt road you know you've found something kind of special. The lush, green surroundings, combined with Mount Kinabalu in the background, make for a pretty memorable view. The cottages themselves were very clean,... More

A good base for Ranau area and Poring Hot Springs. Don't expect the Ritz, but the cottages have a charming exterior with a nice view. Inside, they are clean and comfortable. Only soft drinks, beer and rice wine is available at the bar. The cottages are not serviced daily which is somewhat surprising, but not essential. The Tea Garden Restaurant... More

The place and view is magnificent! But the Service is bad. F&B is terrible. We went there last weekend for a stay. Firstly, they say no need to pay for our dinner. The next morning, ask us to pay for the dinner! Even it doesn't cost us a lot.

2 nights here was perfect. The little cottages ARE charming, the hot water works, the AC works, the beds are comfy, the entire place is spic an span. What's not to like? Evidently, the longhouse - which is pretty rudimentary and I wouldn't think of staying there because this is mosquito central! Early morning walks from cottages to see the... More

As we drove up the steep gravel road we did question our choice of accommodation but that didn't last long. We were the only ones in the cottages so it was very quiet. Our cottage was very comfortable, loads of hot water, amazing sunset and views in the early morning of Mt Kinabalu. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner was a... More

This is an accommodation like no other and I think it is worth a try just for the experience. The accommodations are in a traditional longhouse made out of bamboo. I would say it was 'fun'. If you can't handle one night with minimal sleep, then don't stay here. The bamboo shifts and groans every time someone walks on it.... More

Sounds interesting but accommodation poor. Shared toilets and showers, hard mattress under mosquito net. Whenever someone walks by your room shakes. Certainly the chorus of snores is audible in all rooms, poor sleep. Sort of romantic but that disappears as u cannot sleep. Stay at a cottage .

We stayed one night in the cottages. They are great value. The road in is long, steep and gravel. Tough on our little hire car. Very pretty views from the cottages. Our price included breakfast, however they did not let us chose between the American and Asian. They are however 20 K's from the Poring Hot Springs, so having our own... More

We made a brief visit in August and have lunch there. The food was delicious. The road from the main road to the tea house is gravel though. It would have been nice if it is tarred. We didn't join the factory as the price is quite steep and the tea processing is over by then.
