What more can I say but I will most certainly be back to Tomintoul. Great to come across South Africans in this remote part of Scotland. Steven's breakfasts are divine and Dianne also has some great sightseeing, whisky discovery, restaurent tips to share with whomsoever is interested. Next time we would love to take the landrover tour to discover the... More

My husband and i had stayed a week at Argyle Guest House. We stayed in room 7 and found the accomodation perfect and spacious in comparision to other B&Bs. The breakfasts were great there was a range of choice, and the salmon ad eggs were amazing with the fresh bread. I would definately return for another stay, the owners Dianne... More

We stayed here unexpectedly last winter to try to cram in another days skiing. The heating went off at 11pm, and we were left with a wee heater in the middle of the room which generated very little heat....................... We were given lots of info the next morning about how she could cut the cost of her breakfast from a... More

I stayed a week at Argyle House for a horse trip in September. The rooms are all nicely decorated and very cozy. Hospitality couldn't be better. Dianne was a pleasure to chat with and made sure that our every need was met. She has many amazing stories about her family and her life in South Africa & London. Steven's food... More

Super place hidden in a small town of 300 or so. We stayed to check out the Highland Games at a nearby town and found this place. The owners are as sweet as can be; definitely do not miss the home-baked bread in the morning! Hot out of the oven! The owners used to run one of the swankiest hotels... More

Dianne and Steven were again the perfect hosts for our business trip to the Lecht. The facilities and the quality of the catering were simply excellent. Steven even drove to our meeting place when we had left vital supplies behind - now that really is service! Now all I need is an excuse for a non-business trip! More

After staying at probably the best Hotel in Inverness for a week we finally moved on to Tomintoul this quaint little village within the heart of the Cairngorms region of the Highlands surrounded by mountains with the Avon river running by we were greeted with warm heartfelt hospitality as opposed to the very formal service expected at a top class... I too stayed here with colleges during a business trip. I have a vegetarian diet and Steven and Dianne were very accommodative of my dietary needs at breakfast. I would definitely stay time and time again. More

The Argyle Guest House is something really special. I was visiting Tomintoul with colleagues on a business trip, and Steven and Dianne went out of their way to make us all welcome and to provide the facilities we required for a business meeting. The food was truely excellent. More

My mother and I recently went to Scotland for a short trip. We got to Argyle Guest House just by chance. We were looking for a place to spend one night. We happened to find the right one. We had a very warm welcome and the stay was perfect. Dianne is lovely ... Everything was excellent. My mother is still... More
