My teenage daughter and I recently walked the Speyside Way, and we were really glad we booked a night at the Argyle House. We had asked if we could be picked up in Ballindaloch in order to spend the night in Tomintoul and walk the Tomintoul spur back to the main route, and even though we were late in calling,... more

The first of four BnBs that we stayed in over august bank holiday weekend and this was definitely my favourite (and it also happened to be the cheapest). The building is beautiful and the photos on their website did not do it justice. The room we had was gorgeous and the decor was modern and contempory. The proprietors, Diane and... more

We really can't speak highly enough of our stay at Argyle House. We had two ensuite rooms & were extremely pleased with the facilities. We only had the pleasure of meeing Diane who was just lovely & couldn't have been more helpful if she had tried. We did however sample Steven's fantasic breakfasts (even a wonderful vegie option for one... more

What a warm welcome we received on arrival. Given a fabulous room with ensuite on ground floor-- which was great as we had lots of bike gear to bring in. Hot powerful shower and loads of fluffy towels. Fresh milk and shortbread. parking for bikes just outside. Lots of info from owners and in the morning, a really great breakfast. more

Enjoyed a night's stay at the Argyle in Tomintoul. The room and en-suite were both large and although overlooking the Main Street, there is very little traffic there. It is very quiet. Dianne give us a great welcome. There were some good and different choices for breakfast - see website. We had dinner in the Clockhouse across the street and... more

We stayed here on a John O Groat's to Land's End cycle ride (husband cycling and me travelling with a 2year old and 4 year old in the car!). Our room was very large (2 double beds, dining table and en suite bathroom) which was perfect for our family and bike! The hosts were really friendly, suggesting places ot eat... more

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. There is no way we could have been more warmly greeted. Parking was directly across the street. Our luggage was taken from the car and we were helped to our large, immaculate and airy corner room with an attached bathroom. As we were hanging our coats, a large plate... more

We stayed one night on a cross Scotland mountain bike trip. The rooms were very comfortable, the welcome very friendly and helpful (extending to use of spanners and oil to fix a couple of bike problems) - and the breakfast excellent. The house has character and the hosts seem to genuinely enjoy looking after their guests. The best stop on... more
