Ive always wanted to stay in a chateau and this one didn't let us down, Friends stayed here last year so we had a first hand recommendation. We stayed only for one night on our whirlwind French roadtrip but I could definitely have stayed longer and used the chateau as a base to explore the magnificent Loire Valley . The... More

Chateau de la Bourdaisiere is situated in a beautiful garden setting and is famouns for its tomato festival. The rooms are all individually furnished and some of the accommodation is in the stables. The rooms in the stables are also very well appointed and a good size. The owner is a very interesting person and takes the time to chat... More

There are many chateaux to stay in in France, but this one was full of surprises. As well as a well-maintained historical building full of artifacts, the hands-on, friendly owner had 600+ varieties of tomato and there just happened to be a concert with world-class players on. Food very good, pool a little way from the building, gardens worth walking... More

Food quality definitely not there and choices very limited. Bar service was great. We were part of a bike tour and the staff actually seated another bike tour in the same room as us...it was awkward as we had the better chairs and tables. Strict rules about breakfast time and to be honest, smaller hotels had a much better selection... More

I stayed in three chateaus while on a bike trip in the Loire Valley. This was my least favorite. It is absolutely beautiful on the outside. My room was in the stables and it was up a set of steep stairs. The room was dark as there was only one window in it. The room was large. Had two single... More

My husband and I stayed here for just one night in a standard double room not in the chateau but in the adjoining building as I think all the rooms were taken up in the main chateau by a tour group. We were a little disappointed however, the room we had was huge with a lovely view out over the... More

We scheduled one night at the chateau, as a part of a quick trip to the Loire valley. The place seemed amazing and the pricy rates made it seem like we were in for a treat. But not so much... The staff seemed very strict and uneasy, lots of recommendations and rules about everything, whitch was ok for me, but... More

A real 15th century Chateau that has been remodelled in to a nice hotel.Rooms are filled with period antiques that have an old world feel Beautiful gardens with walking trails and fresh market garden for the dining room and Tea Garden. Wonderful European breakfast in elegant dining room. We stayed in the Jeanne d'Arc room. It was spacious with 3... More

Stayed here for 1 night in the pavilion. Rooms were large & modern with the exception of no air conditioning. I see some other comments about items needing repair in the rooms and noticed this as well. Although it didn't detract from our experience it does give the impression that there is a lack of attention to details. We had... More

The parc and the gardens are worth the stay. The castle itself needs a lot of investment to be up to standard: roofs need to be redone, broken glass of windows or picture frames are not replaced, heating is not working properly, stained sofas are not cleaned, ... it is sad to witness this. The restaurant was very disappointing, with... More
