While traveling by car from the south of France ( Nice ) to Paris we spent three days at the Bourdaisiere in order to visit the various palaces throughout the Loire valley ( Chenonceau, Chambord, etc. ). It was an absolute delight. Reminiscent of a fairytale castle from a storybook, we enjoyed exploring the various rooms of the chateau adorned... More

We stayed at Château De La Bourdaisière so we could give our children (aged 6 and 8) the experience of "sleeping in a castle" and they loved it! We had an apartment with two floors, and they really felt like they were independent knights :-) Th room downstairs was quite chilly, as the staff warned us, so we used the... More

This Chateau leaves you with mixed feelings. It is so imposing the grounds as you come in, it is just wow... But it seems that they only have a half-manned operation. One person for the front desk and she would then take you to the room, it gave you the feeling that the place is about to go under. We... More

Where your room is makes all the difference. We stayed in the renovated carriage house with a wonderful view of the Chateau. The plumbing was good, the bed was good but damn it was hot. We got the windows open and avoided being in the room before sunset. The staff seemed overworked. Pleasant enough but constantly scrambling to make things... More

My friend and I stayed at this hotel in early September for four nights. We stayed in the "Blanche de Castille" 'apartment'. The setting is spectacular and really fits the chateaux theme of the Loire Valley area. The garden on the grounds makes you feel like "Alice in Wonderland" ("Alice au Pays des Merveilles"). The rooms are comfortable and clean... More

I just returned to the states after spending 4 nights at the lovely Chateau de la Bourdaisiere. I was traveling with a friend and really had no idea what to expect. As we approached the gates, I caught my breath. Wow! If you want an authentic experience while exploring the wonders of the Loire, this is the place to stay.... More

My husband and I stayed here during a bike tour of the Loire Valley. We were housed in what had been a stable. While the room was relatively large and the shower was phenomenal, the towels were scratchy and stingy in supply. There is no a/c (which we found to be horrible) and had to depend on open windows and... More

Having been on the hit list for some time we spent a night here in August on our way down to the South West. Touring the beautiful gardens and the famous tomatoes and dahlia collections, the tomatoes in particular outstanding in the varieties on show Though the tomato bar wasn't open, we dined on tomatoes that evening whilst having our... Upon arrival you will be blown away by the tranquility and beauty of this Chateau and its grounds. Stéphane / La réception was extremely helpful since i was arriving late night and he made detailed special arrangement for me to get in. That was very nice. The Good: - Great communication from reception before I arrived. - Very grand and... More

Two days of rain had certainly dampened our enthusiasm in driving through the Loire valley, but a moment in a gas station a gentlemen suggested a visit to the Chateau de la Bourdaisiere which was nearby may make us smile especially as it stopped raining and a blue sky appeared overhead. We reached the Chateau in the late evening and was stunned...
