Well, I haven't written a review in a while, I have been going to this resort since 2002 and seen its ups and downs. I travelled beginning of July, on a relaxing trip, no husband or child.. First off. AMAZING,.. Sums it up again. This review will be mostly about the staff.. Before I get into them.. The ground are... More

This was our 3rd time in Cuba so knew what standard to expect. We went to this hotel July 23 and I have to say 4.5- 5 star more like a 2 or 3. Hotel was only half open( low season summer apparently. Staff were rude, rooms sub standard and dirty and food pretty disgusting. And to top it all... More

Beautiful resort, friendly staff, so much choice of food for everyone and lots of different restaurants to chose from. Our teenage daughters had a fantastic time with the entertainment team who seemed to never stop working, and even danced the night away with them in the club. The beach is beautiful, it's cleaned daily, the gardens are tended daily and... More

We traveled as an extended family of seven, being four adults and three children with Thomas Cook out of Manchester on the last wednesday of July. Manchester Airport was a complete and utter shambles with the new American security required. Having checked in with pre -booked seats we joined the queue straight away to get airside,as we had arrived two and... More

Returned to this beautiful resort for the second time and it was just as wonderful as last summer. We'd like to thank Judith Alfonso Guilarte (Booking Dept.) for her help in getting us 2 rooms next to each other (3216 & 3217). Our chamber maid was always smiling and kept the rooms clean. We would also like to thank Mariuski Lorenzo... More

This was our second visit to this resort and it surpassed our expectations following the first visit 5 years ago. We included the Havana trip this time and it was well organised by Thomas Cook. We would like to concur with fellow reviewers regarding the Thomas Cook rep Roberto, who was very informative, professional and helpful. The staff at the... More

We have just returned home from the most perfect two week holiday in the Melia Cayo Guillermo. We travelled in an extended family group of six with two children aged 11 and 9. We flew from Manchester with Thomas Cook into Cayo Coco airport. The flight and transfers were absolutely faultless.Transfer time was approximately 45 minutes but the scenery was... More

Hello Nat_the_Nurse! I am sooo happy to know you had such a great holidays with your extended group!!! I can see you profited of every single service and offer and that you consider our hotel the icing of the cake, it makes us even more compromised in improving our services and please our guests. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Meliá Cayo Guillermo is located one of the most beautiful and white-sandy beaches with more than 1300 palm trees, and swept by very transparent waters. The area was an inspiration for Ernest Hemingway, and fishing the great blue river, always on his Pilar Yacht, he created part of his work. The hotel is perfect for couples and families but also for diving, fishing. We also organize the wedding of your dreams in this paradise. ... more   less
