The beach of this hotel is fantastic, with very white sand and warm water! There is a wooden pontoon that allows rides or relax with a great view of the sea on the beach. The pool is also a great care space, with lots of gray areas and always with good Latin music. The hotel has a good animation team... More

I have travelled to this hotel with my husband and 3 kids- their ages ranging from kindergarten to High School. Our travel motto is "Easy to Please and Happy to Travel" We don't sweat the small stuff and try to see the positive in everything. We always smile and are respectful and that is exactly what we get back. We... More

Pretty disappointed with this resort... Reading all these positive reviews, I'm thinking "where the hell was I" lol staff was not friendly at all, they seemed annoyed most of the time. Entertainment at night was a little boring, not really meant for younger people, definitely more for an older generation. If I had heard "cao cao Mickey Mouse" one more... More

First the honey: Good service from mostly friendly staff. Nice and improved choice of food. Grounds are clean. Rooms are odour-free and large. We celebrated our 20th anniversary and had a small reception organised. Mary was very helpful with the latter. Now the pill: We arrived just before midnight so there were no welcoming cocktails. Check-in was painfully long as... More

Hello Claire. The Thomas Cook rep at the hotel will be more than happy to help, they do sell excursions to Havana overnight. I am sure you will be able to book one while you are here. They go by plane, only an hour flight and they have one and two nights. Robert is the name of the Representative in... More

We came here in September 2013 for our friend's wedding, as a large group. We were most definitely not disappointed. The hotel complex is big but not overwhelming and the staff are all so friendly and happy to help. There are so many different things to do and places to relax - the pool is amazing and the food is... More

What a wonderful resort! The food was above par for Cuba. The staff was wonderful in the buffet and the mud wrap was a great value for the 15 pesos it was my 2nd trip to Cuba and the beach was much nicer than where we stayed last year.

Meliá Cayo Guillermo is located one of the most beautiful and white-sandy beaches with more than 1300 palm trees, and swept by very transparent waters. The area was an inspiration for Ernest Hemingway, and fishing the great blue river, always on his Pilar Yacht, he created part of his work. The hotel is perfect for couples and families but also for diving, fishing. We also organize the wedding of your dreams in this paradise. ... more   less
