Went to this hotel on the reccomendation of thomas cook travel agent,it was for a 50th wedding anniversory,so it was supposed to be a 5star hotel ,well it might have been 9 years ago when it was built, but now it rates about just over 3 star, the rooms needed a bit of work to bring them back up to standard, they advertise... more

We’ve just returned from a 2 week holiday in this hotel and I can honestly say that it was the worst we’ve experienced in over 10 previous sojourns in Cuba. It may have been 5 star when built but no better than 3 star now. Hotel rooms in particular require serious attention. The one we stayed in needed major redecoration... more

Well this is our third trip back to the Melia and like I said in the title it just gets better, I think because we have got to know more people so they are more like friends now than staff. I think if anything the food has improved this visit (as if it could have got any better), the fresh... more

Arrival: May 2009 We just recently returned from a PERFECT vacation in Cuba, specifically in Cayo Guillermo. For the record, there are several Cayos (or small islands/keys: think Florida Keys), the largest of which (in this region) is Cayo Coco. This is where the airport is located, and generally you fly directly here. Arrival, immigration and baggage claim was swift,... more

We've been my husband and I, last week at Melia Cayo Guillermo in Cuba. It was our third trip over there since a year and a half and I'll be back in august with my sister. It's a very nice and clean hotel. It's the best food we ever had in all hotels we've been like in Jamaica, Bahamas and... more

We went to the Melia Cayo Guillermo for our honeymoon, with our 1 1/2 yr old daughter. I must say that we were pleasantly surprized.. The hotel is beautiful, the beach is just amazing, and the staff is really friendly. We enjoyed everything about this hotel. We saw a wedding when we were there, it was beautiful, they had decorated... more
