It was our third time visit to this place. The renovations were supposed to be completed, we don't mind the bugs, we like the people so the scenario was perfect. The good thing was that the room we were staying at was really renovated with everything working and we had absolutely no complaints there. Unfortunatelly the best bar in the... More

Fantastic holiday in November, although the weather was a bit windy for some of the time. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and in the afternoons, during low tide, beautiful little "islands" appear. Just watch out for the kite surfers, as there are large areas of the beach dedicated for them. Rooms are ok, they have everything you need, but who's... More

Dear Dazpitchy, Glad to read your comment because show us we were able to met your expectations. It's the people that make a place good and the service staff at this resort are simply wonderful. They are genuinely interested in hotel guests and go out of their way to make all aspects of your stay enjoyable. The food here is good and represents a reasonable selection for most tastes. The resort structures are somewhat dated and are... More

This was our 1st time at the Sol Cayo Guillermo and I’m sure we’ll return but not in Nov. For most of our time there it was windy, also a bit cloudy at times with a little bit of rain (mostly at night). We discovered that this is a good time for the Kite surfing crowd because of the winds.... More

We stayed at Sol Cayo Guillermo the first week of December. Our holiday was wonderful from the moment we stepped into the resort, even though we had to wait a few hours for our room to be ready. The hotel, SCG, was clean and well presented. The food was varied and typically Cuban. The drinks were all inclusive, which were OK unless you wanted Gin which was poor, or beer which was not the best brew. The staff were great and tried hard to entertain us, though some of the evening performances were a bit lacking. It is... More
