We just returned from 11 days’ vacation. This was our 4th visit here (10 times in Cuba) and I have rated this place highly twice. Unfortunately I have to change rating for many reasons, as that becomes apparent when you start reading my comments. I also read very thoroughly reviews of others (good and bad) and therefore I will begin... More

First off, best rooms closest to the kite zone area are the 1300 rooms from above, you might have to pay a premium but its worth it. I have only stayed at Sol Cayo Guillermo, last resort along Cayo Guillermo, they were very kite friendly. all the kiters pretty much roomed near each other at the far end of the... More

We stayed at this hotel for the week of Jan 14, 2015 and although it has some good points I have to say overall it was a bit of a disappointment. We have been to Cuba before but this is the first time with kids (6 and 4 yrs) and the first time to the Cayo Coco/Guillermo area. My husband... More

My husband and I were at scg for 2 weeks. The location was beautiful, and the people were very friendly. We arrived on the 7th, and by the 12th my husband and I were both sick with salmonella. The next 10 days were difficult. It was our 3rd trip to Cuba, and perhaps our last.

We were at SCG on January 10 for a wedding. The SCG is a nice clean hotel, with wonderful staff but in serious need of renovations/updates. The rooms are clean. The buffet restaurant is very good. Say "Hello" to Yuri, a very nice guy at one of the grill. The restaurant a la carte (only one) also has very good... More

We stayed at the Sol for the fouth time. It remains, in our view, one of the best resorts in Cuba. We have stayed at many other resorts all over the island. The room was clean and pleasant with a comfortable patio. The beaches of Cayo Guillermo are magnificant. A great time to walk along the beach is low tide... More

Just returned on Jan. 20 after a week stay. If you are looking for a quiet resort, want to do a lot of reading, enjoy a beautiful beach and not take life to seriously, this is the place. Stayed at bungalow 606 ocean view, great location, close to the beach, bar,BBQ, pool and buffet without getting much noise. The entire... More

Stayed Jan 6 to jan 13 2015 . I ve been to this resort 4 to 5 times and has always been a favorite of mine with great staff, fun bars and generally good food and a great manager. Things have changed somewhat, I'm afraid. A new manager is in place. The beach restaurant/bar is gone, with another one under... More

We came back last night from a week at the Sol Cayo Guillermo. This was about my 15th time in Cuba, so I know what to expect usually. However, this hotel (to which we were moved one week before departure because of overbooking at the Sol Cayo Coco) is not up to par with other 4 stars in Cuba. It... More

Well. here goes, with my review. I will be as fair and frank as possible. Arrival at the hotel was very quick, and we were in our room in no time at all. The room 120 was some distance from the main area of the hotel which was good to some degree, as it was very quiet. Not so good... More
