Overview: This was the first time my wife and I visited the Almond Beach Village Resort. We wouldn't do it again. We ended up moving twice to a third room - the first one where we had a clean bathroom without mold/mildew, bed linen that didn't have pics/holes it, floors that were sandy and unswept, and, from a size prospective,... more

My wife and I have been staying at Almond Beach Village for all our holidays since 1987. (It was called Heywoods then). Reviewers who complain about things that happen on the beach - stolen property - no umbrellas and the like, need to understand that in Barbados all beaches are public, and with over a mile of fantastic beach you... more

I never write reviews, but after reading the 1st 3 bad reviews on this hotel i felt i had to. Almond Beach Village was fantastic, we went with friends and had the best holiday that i have ever had and really want to go back this year! Right from the very start on the transfer bus the staff were really... more

After reading the reviews for Almond Beach I was pretty dubious on what we would find But I must say we had a pretty good time. The hotel is a bit run down, needs some TLC in places. The food can become repetitive, but on the whole we had a great time. My sons joined in with all the water... more

I went to the ALMOND BEACH VILLAGE with 9 others as I was getting married. I have to say I was very skeptical when I was reading the reviews and hoped it was the usual, where people just MOAN, MOAN & MORE MOANING about anything. To my delight I was absolutely right. We came across many moaners when we were... more

Normally when i read the reviews on this site I like to take the middle ground and judge when I get there. But the more negative reviews on this site are in fact correct. The whole resort is rundown and needs a good lick of paint! The rooms are 1980's falling apart coco cobanna style. The staff are rude and... more

I first want to say that we have been traveling to the islands for 20 years and I would put this in the top 20% of vacations. The flights and trip from the airport was uneventful. We were the only people in our van. We went with Apple so our transportation was prearranged. Check in was simple and quick and... more
