The beach is absolutely excellent; yes, it is a little rocky for the first few feeet so take beach shoes. We didn't really use beach shoes after the first day. The beach is well maintained, clean, and there are plenty of chaises, beach towels are provided. Vendors are not permitted until maybe late in the day. The breakfasts are excellent... more

We stayed at the Amaryllis June 22, until June 28, it was our 10 year anniversary and they upgraded us to an ocean front room 218. After reading all the negative reviews we were concenered, however, none of them were true. Nice hotel in a good location. The rooms are all very big and have a kitchen area within them. I stayed in the standard room on my first few days of island hopping and then stayed for a few nights in a luxury one bed apartment on my way home. It's right on the beach which is great and it's clean and quiet at night which is also great but the service leaves much to be desired. They charge you for safe deposit boxes that don't work, the maid forgets to clean your room and they don't even apologize, they seem very blaze and short and they take forever to... more
