By the time we left the Amaryllis on 12th December we had fallen in love with the place and ready to book for 2012. We did have a shaky start as our seaview room which we had booked didn't have a seaview room due to the ginormous palm trees right outside, but reception sorted that & the next day we... More

This place isn't being advertised as a 5 star crazy resort - and it isn't one. But it certainly is a place with a beautiful setting and a "no worries" feel about it. All the people with negative reviews seem to have a problem with the staff - wer in Barbados guys! Just chill out and enjoy the laid back... More

Arrived today. Receptionist was miserable and fake. Bathroom light did not work. Hot water did not work. When I called reception they offered no apology. Waiter was also miserable and unfriendly. Food tasted like plastic. The whole place smells like must and bleach, including the air conditioner. I have nothing positive to say about this hotel other than it is... More

Great location on the beach, shade provided by mature palm trees-quiet area, warm sheltered bay, continually being cleaned throughout the day. Rooms were a little 'tired' but redecorating was taking place whilst we were there.facilities in room were excellent, we had a studio which included cooking facilities - ideal for breakfast and snack lunches (we dined out every evening and... Myself and my wife stayed at this resort in February last year as part of a stay and cruise all inclusive package with Virgin. Although the rooms could do with refreshing we could not fault this resort, the food the staff and the beach in front of the hotel was excellent. Spent a day on a catamaran with Calabaza had a... This is the third time we have stayed at Amaryllis Beach Hotel, and quite frankly, despite the cons, we would stay again. Pros: Beach, beach, beach. Amaryllis has an excellent private beach location with a reef that allows the waves to be gentle. Love having breakfast outside on the terrace while watching the birds and waves and suntanning people out... More

We visited Barbados forour 25th wedding anniversary and stayed at The Amaryllis Baech Resort. The resort is an olderfacility but quiet and well maintained. The beach is protected by a man-made reef but is a public beach. We had an ocean front room and the mornings were a pleasent and relaxing time spent eating breakfast on our deck. The tempearture... After quite a long time working with no time off, my partner and I booked into the Amaryllis for some much needed r & r and it was perfect, the hotel itself was not busy so service was very good, although I can apprecate if it was busy the buffet could be very small, overall we enjoyed the breakfast buffet,... The staff were helpfull if we had a problem they took care of it.The hotel is a great location, close to the city, we did not rent a car but used the public transport. There are many places to eat in the area. The boardwalk starts from little behind the hotel and it is a beautiful sunset walk for about three... More
