I called in at this establishment on my way home from Elgin yesterday. I ordered food, which was nice, plus good value for money. Before departing, I decided to visit the gents toilet and here my problems began. The corridor leading to these "facilities" was in darkness and this was dangerous, as one has to negotiate a step down on... More

I went for a meal with two friends and if they hadn't been famlliar with the hotel, I would have had no clue where to go. There were no staff to be seen when we came in the hotel, and a few minutes later a friendly member of staff came to take drinks and orders. I ordered chicken fillets and... More

I was resident at the hotel for a total of 7 weeks! There are two aspects to review here, the hotel and the resturant. Hotel: This is a quaint old hotel situated just off the A96 which makes it very convenient to get to, even for people who do not own a car i.e. me. Bus 10 runs every hour... More

This review is long overdue! We had a great night here, rooms were clean and spot on, dinner was fabulous, the best of our week long trip in wonderful Scotland. We were greeted by very friendly owner who said we may not be 5 star but we're 5 star friendly!! And he was right, perfect spot to lay your head... More

A traditional, comfortable 'town' hotel which has an old style charm, but with modern touches, good facilities and friendly staff. Our room was well appointed, although the bathroom was rather cold. Good choice from a la carte or daily specials dinner menu, and a splendid breakfast sets you up for the day! We enjoyed our stay and would go back.

The Royal Hotel provided the catering for our daughter's wedding in a country village hall. Everything from beginning to end was first class. The food was superb and every member of staff - kitchen, waiting and bar went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that everything went without a hitch. The wedding guests were full of praise... More

Comfortable, clean with friendly staff. Great old fashioned service, breakfast was superb and eating in the restaurant was a treat, in fact we chose to eat there both nights we stayed. The chef happily adapted the menu to cater for my gluten free needs and it was delicious. There are no lifts but the staff will happily assist if required.... More
