We only stayed one night at the end of our Sicily holiday before flying back from Catania. This is a refreshingly different place and slightly quirky but exceptional good. Rooms are large, the grounds are extensive (with outdoor pool) and a great place to wander. A very relaxing hotel. Staff are most helpful. Dinner was good and breakfast ample. Etna... More

only had a night here, but wow was it impressive, I stayed in one of the little villas scattered around the terraced vineyards. The place dated back to 1700's. You have a wonderful mix of modern design with lava stone and well thought out design, idyllic setting and cavernous rooms, why do I say perfectly imperfect, well the restoration work... More

The concept of the hotel is fantastic: a rural retreat, delivered with style and top class cooking to boot. Pricing was steep: over €350 for a suite in April, but based on the website and glowing TripAdvisor reviews, we decided to try it. Our suite was large as promised, but the bathroom was a bad joke. Walk up 10 stairs... More

Visited with friends (group of 18). Wine tour was extremely interesting followed by a lovely lunch. Ben is extremely knowledgeable and explanation is extremely detailed. The wines presented for the wine tasting session are decent. Very well worth visiting.

We stayed as a family for about 1 week in early October 2014. The hotel and all the property is superb for the kids. My daughters loved the organic breakfast and the dinners. The staff was always ready with plenty of suggestions for our daily activities. During our stay, we visited Acitrezza , Taormina, Isola Bella, Noto, Syracuse, Catania and... More

Wife and I, and 3 teenage children stayed for a week in January. A beautifully and tastefully restored property, with some accommodation attached to the main building, and other villas spread around the 40 acres of organic orchards. We loved the vibe of the place, and the ethos of slow food and high end organic principles. Staff bent over backwards... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Monaci for two days, one which happened to be my birthday. The hotel and rooms are gorgeous, the views are breaktaking, the food is fresh, and the staff is exceptional. The worked very closely with my boyfriend to plan a couple of surprises for me. The staff played a huge part in making my... More

As a family with two middle aged children (Age 10 & 11) we found both the concept and the management imaginative. As an developing concept it has both pluses and minuses, here's our take: The old Monastery was purchased from a family and is being slowly converted into a boutique style hotel. The main building houses several suites, the office... More

Sicily at its best! The rooms were exceptional, the food and wine were great. Service was very friendly and everything was done to make our stay special. You must buy their Olive Oil which is one of the best ever. They are passionate about their wine production, their oil, the beauty of the nearby Etna, and they're most passionate about... More
