We ended our three week visit to Sicily in the Agriturismo and what a joy. With overlooking on each side the sea and the Etna - as well as the extremely warm family running this place - this is in our opinion one of those gems you sometimes are lucky to find. If you are looking for a place to... More

A beautifully restored and family run hideaway close to Etna and Taormina. Wonderful service from Sara who speaks excellent English and delicious Sicilian food cooked by her mother. Tables were set up each night on the terrace, very romantic, and the pool and lounge chairs were wonderful in the 35 degree heat! ! 2 nights was not enough! Highly recommend.

What a Gem an amazing hotel owned & run by the most charming helpful local family. The home cooked food was out of this world all cooked by Mama and team on site. Sarah (daughter) was front of house and was exceptional - a charming stay - I do not hesitate to recommend as first class in every respect.

A great place to unwind, in the footsteps of mighty Etna...a great family run hideaway professionally run by Sara and her parents. Don't miss her mom's cooking and baking. A real treat. We loved the place, adore the owners and simply think they represent the real pride of southern Italy ... We shall return!!!! Thanks for giving us the opportunity....

After a hectic week of getting married this was THE perfect place to relax, wind down and enjoy the sun. The hotel itself is fantastic, if a little hard to find. Our room had lovely views of the countryside and on a clear day also the sea. Dinner here is must. The full Sicilian menu of Antipasti, Primi, Secondi, Dolci,... More

Ten years ago, this was an abandoned mountain hamlet. Now it's the perfect place to stay, where nothing is too much trouble for the owners. Perched on the slopes of Mt Etna, you get a view of the smoking volcano looking one way, and down towards the sea the other. There's a huge choice of open-air sitting areas, including round... More

If you are looking for nice stay and local cuisine, stay here. We stayed there with kids for 3 nights and really enjoy it. You have an option here to opt-in for dinner and you should do it. Homemade sicilian style food was amazing (and cheap).

We stayed here for two night whilst we visited Etna. Breakfasts were amazing: the homemade cakes were particularly appreciated. Young lady who supervised spoke good English and was extremely helpful with local tips. Rooms good, views amazing down to the coast and up to Etna. They gave us discount vouchers for Etna facilities which saved a considerable amount of money.... More

We stayed in this hotel between Christmas and New Year even though the place is closed during in winter. Apparently a booking mistake has occured, but the extremely friendly owner family decided to welcome us nevertheless. And not only that: they provided us with the full hotel service including breakfast buffet and five course dinner. Anybody enjoying home-style Sicilian cooking... More

We stayed at the Antico Borgo Petralia for one night as it is a very convenient base for the excursion to Mt Etna. It is a very nice place run by a lovely family who will do anything to make you feel welcome and at home. A special mention for the wonderful home-made cakes! ;-) I would definitely recommend this...
