My wife and I stayed one night as we were cycling the Canal du Midi in July 2013. It is a bit of distance from the canal but well worth the detour. The owners are extremely friendly and the restaurant was superb. As others have noted there is no air conditioning and can be an issue for some. The pool... More

Located in the heart of the historic Corbières region. A relaxing stop on the road from all parts of France to Barcelona and North Eastern Spain. A family owned establishment always reserving a warm personal welcome to their clients. Quiet rooms set in an attractive Mediterranean garden with a large swimming pool. Classic Mediterranean cuisine with fresh local ingredients. Superb... More

The hotel is conveniently situated off the A9 and appears to attract Customers heading for the Spanish boarder. It is an elegant building with accommodation set in gardens around a courtyard. Whilst the rooms are small and can get a little warm, they are well appointed and have the advantage of balconies, they are a little dated but this adds... More

We went to this hotel on the way to Carcassonne (as it was mentioned in the michelin guide, we thought it is worth a little detour). We stayed one night 1.9 to 2.9.12. We were looking forward for a nice dinner. The main course was fish and spinach (17 €). The fish was ok, but the spinach had so many... More

I stayed here for 2 nights recently while on a cycling holiday with a friend. We loved it. Our room was delightful, with a garden verandah, the whole establishment was beautifully decorated, the evening meals were excellent. The owner and his wife and Geoff the dog were extremely welcoming and we would not hesitate to go back. The only downside... More

What a shame, this place is very picturesque, in a quiet location, but sadly not one to visit if the temperature is above 20 degrees. I asked the owner for a fan as there is no air conditioning, his reply was a stern NO. "I work 18 hours a day and find the temperature confortable." Well good for you but... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while exploring the sights in Narboone and Carcassonne. The proprietor was very welcoming as was Jeff the dog !! The proprietor also was very obliging and ready to give advice about the surrounding sights. The room was comfortable and very clean. The setting of this hotel was quite rural being surrounded by... We stayed here for a couple of nights on a half board basis. The owner was very welcoming and provided all the information we needed. Our room was well equipped and serviced but a little on the small and dark side. We very much enjoyed the two dinners we had; they were well presented and offered interesting options. The table... This place isn't really a hotel. It is more of a bed and breakfast that also serves supper - and a very good (if not cheap) supper it is too. The owners are charming and attentive as are all the staff. On the downside, a) the hotel is next to a road, and a well used road, so lying by... More

We have stayed at this hotel twice, during touring holidays. M. Gonzalvez and his wife have restored the buildings to a very high standard. The rooms are charming and the food superb. The owners are very welcoming and happy to practice their English to be helpful, if needed. We found the Abbaye de Fontfroide well worth visiting. Our stay has,... More
