Stayed 1 night on the way to southern France. Hotel is located outside Strasbourg - but in a very quiet setting. Overall experience was fine - breakfast was not the greatest selection - but good quality. Overall: yes I would stay here again. A special mention on the service: upon leaving I forgot a sweater - and when calling the... More

A haven of peace and quiet in a nice park on the river Ille. Strassbourg lies just 6 km to the north on the same river. Small spa, no fitness. Nice bar with terrace. Price/quality relationship of the restaurant is okay, but breakfast is pricey. Fortunately, there is a very good Boulangerie a few steps away in the centre of... More

Once was a very nice big home, now it is a large three storied hotel around the old home. Not what we were expecting. It's not a Chateau..! The facility is tired and is in need of an upgrade. Staff are helpful and friendly and speak very good English. Aircon in the room was weak for a summer evening. The... More

The best of this hotel is the restaurants. But don't expect any "Luxury" in the room ! I stayed in a superior room, 272 €, so , not the first price like you find on website ( 136 € ) Quality of bed in just enough .... old material, blanket more than used . No flat screen, but a 50cm... More

Chateau de L´Ile is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels Group. But it obviously lacks the charm that you would associate with it. A good 15 minutes car ride from the center, it is certainly not ideally located. Something that would not be a major setback if the hotel offered the little extras that you might be expecting from... We wanted to go to Strasbourg for the Christmas markets, but by then time I looked into booking, I could not find accommodation for our family of four in Strasbourg. We ended up at the Chateau de l'Ille and Spa in neighboring Ostwald, and it worked out well for us. To get into Strasbourg, it was an easy 10 minutes... More

We spent 6 nights at this Chateau for my daughter's wedding. It was located in the quiet little village of Ostwald. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious with so many choices of french food. The staff were all always very helpful and pleasant. My daughter had a huge, gorgeous, and many-roomed suite with a large porch. The... More

Beautiful place to to stay, just outsider Strasbourg. Perfect location when exploring the Alsace area. Easy access to the highway. The grounds are lovely as was the food. The bar was charming, very good margaritta and dry martinis!

Very pleasant location on outskirts of Ostwald, which is a nice little town (but not one of the Ville Fleurie of the Alsace Wine Route). It is well located for going into Strasbourg - the hotel is a 10 minute walk to the tram route into the city, and trams run regularly (around 15 minute intervals) until late every night.... More

Pretty hotel in its own grounds which sadly were rather dull: grass all around and leading down to the river but lacking in floral plantings or pretty outside seating areas. Hotel seemed to have been tarted up on the cheap and, while prices were 5 star, the quality of the amenities was not. Swimming pool was good but the addition... More
