We went for Easter with our adult kids and stayed in the beach bungalows - do stay in these if you can - amazing view of the beach and sea and your own sun bed deck outside your door. You can't fly direct to Guadeloupe but need to go via Paris but even so I recommend it. We walked to... More

We live on Guadeloupe so we've stayed and at Fort Royal a number of times as well as visited the beach for the day. We are a family with small children and they all love the place. The swimming pool is almost always empty, and does really need a bit of updating, but it's big enough for our kids to... More

Visited on a tour with a whole bunch of friends. This used to be the old club med and is being redone and worth the detour. Some rooms are better than others but with the waves breaking all around you. You are sure to get a great sleep. yhe buffet Breakfast and Dinner are great and plenty to chose from.

Me and my wife spent two weeks in a ocean-view bungalow over christmas and new years -14/-15. First night we arrived late was bunkered into a bungalow with no ocean-view as per booking, rather it was facing the parking and backside of the kitchen. After complaints we were next day moved to a room further up which did have a... More

This is a very good place for a comfortable vacation. Its beach is fine, the rooms are good, and the food is delicious. You can make excursions around the island Basse-Terre with jeep or go to the botanical garden, or go by boat to the small islands Les Saintes.

Fantastic view and nice beaches. Waves and wind made it difficult to swim with children some of the days. Pool area was nothing special. You really need a car to take you outside of the hotel area, eg for restaurants in Deshais. More genuine in Basse terre than on Grand terre. Cleaning was not acceptable. No changing of bed linens... The Fort Royal is a nice hotel for families. This one of the only resort in Guadeloupe including Club Med where most of the staff talk english. The staff was really nice to us. The hotel is a little one with a lot activities like jet ski, sport and it's also a cool place to relax. It was a nice... More

Fort Royal 22 - 25 december Guadeloupe Location: The hotel is located up on the hilly part of Guadeloupe, Basse-Terre, a 45 minute drive from the airport. We usually stays at smaller places but different circumstances led us here. This is a large hotel with a mix of tourists from Sweden and France. The room: The room was spacious and... More

We stayed here from 6-9 Dec 2014 (beachside bungalow, breakfast included). The resort offers a lot, also and especially for families. When we were there, most of the guests were Swedish (apparently owned by Swedes). The hotel makes a luxury appearance it's number one priority (there are for instance pizza cartons with the hotel logo on!). Even though we in... More

When you check in, do you expect the receptionist to tell you that she "does not wish you a good stay as you are not going to have one"? That is what I thought.... Of course, there is an underlying story, she did not master a situation where the booking was for 2 but we wanted a kid in the... More

Dear Chappo76, Thanks for sharing your opinon of the Langley Resort Fort Royal on Tripadvisor. First of all we apologize for the AC incident that happened to your bungalow.
