Started my visit with dinner at the outstanding restaurant! Food was great and service was good. From there, I was ushered off to the "annex" about 50 meters from the main hotel. Located over one of the local day trip businesses, the annex was modern and clean...just very small. So small in fact, you have to push the shower doors... More

We stayed here for three nights and, frankly, were glad we had not booked for longer. We had a superior room booked through a travel company and were very disappointed with it. It was small with the double bed pushed up against one wall, only a small hanging rail for clothes (four coat hangers) and no cupboard or drawer and... More

This hotel is owned by the owner of the whale watching boats and the cafe. The hotel is a five minute walk from the whale watching boat Loki 2. The whale watching equipment store is a two minute walk from the hotel. The hotel has good sized bedrooms each with its own ensuite. Our room looked in-land and over the... More

My two friends and I had three nights at Hotel Framnes, and really enjoyed the experience. Like most visitors, we were there to take whale watching tours with Laki Tours, whose office is just a hundred meters down the road. The two businesses have a symbiotic relationship, which is very useful in case of a change of boat-trip itinerary because... More

I booked the Framnes as I'm an Orca nut and desperate to see them in the wild. The taffy were extremely helpful when I was booking and even managed to sort us out a sea view room (I really hoped to see those orcas!) the room (101) was comfy - lovely bed, clean functional bathroom and a huge window looking... We stayed at this hotel for the last three nights of a seven night holiday in Iceland. I loved it! It's cosy, friendly and the food is excellent. It was the perfect end for our holiday. A couple of slight criticisms which in no way detract from the five stars that I've given; there wasn't really anywhere to put your... More

We staye here two nites as part of the North lceland Winter Photo Tour with Skarpi Thrainsson. I was given s mall single room on the second floor. The room was clean and comforable and the bathroom is a little small. The room over looks the harbour. The receptionist is helpful. It is within walking distance to the supermarkt ,... More

Only stayed one night. Easy group check in. Nice clean room ( only fault no window, was emergency door with glass window that was smoked out) Had large room ( think it was larger than average as seemed to be made for wheelchair axis and on ground floor) Others in group complained about having to carry luggage up to second... I must start by fessing up that the last time I stayed at Framnes in 2014 I had some problems with it and its staff. However, this time I want to say that the time spent during late February early March 2015 on holiday with Discover the World will remain with my daughter and myself as a true highlight of... More

We arrived late around 8.30pm for one evening. Check in was smooth. Room was disappointing. We had booked a double but were given a very small twin. The hotel was very busy with both whale watching and Northern Light tours. Had a few beers in reception area, good atmosphere as busy. Breakfast was ok, the usual continental, no sausages/bacon/cooked breakfast... More
