Room was of a good size and clean. Bed was very comfy and warm. The walls seem rather thin, so we could hear a lot of the exterior sounds in the hall way, but this was fine during sleeping hours. Staff were friendly, breakfast had a decent spread.

We stayed here for 2 nights while on a Orca viewing trip. Location is perfect and hotel staff were very friendly and hospitable. Really enjoyed the outdoor hot-tub in the evening. Buffet breakfasts were plentiful. Cannot wait to return to this hotel next time we are in Iceland.

Hotel is set in a small remote village, but it was easily accessible despite snowy/icy conditions. Approx 3hour drive from airport (for a novice!). Staff extremely friendly and welcoming, happy to help with any queries. Room spacious and clean, with an amazing sea/mountain view. Trip was for a special occasion and we had emailed in advance to reserve a room... More

Stayed here for just 1 night. Location was great - in a nice village with plenty of charm. Staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. Our room contained all we needed, it was quiet and bed was comfortable. Quite a clean hotel and well maintained, not fancy but also not old or run down. Breakfast was excellent, great selection and very... More

This is a little hotel (two floors) with lots of atmosphere to it, both in the main areas and in the rooms. We had a room with a couch and a table, which was nice. Breakfast is very good, as in most Iceland hotels.

I cannot express how disappointed I was when I arrived to my room. Tiny, dark, very old, smelly and unconfortable. The windows need to be replace, the wind come in and the curtains moved all night. It was cold, I sleep in my sleeping bag and polar pyjamas with the heating on max temperature. The staff is really nice, its... More

Chose this hotel because of it's links with and closeness to Laki Tours. It was easy to find and we were very impressed with the modern amenities in the room- especially the shower. We had a lovely view from our room across the ocean. Breakfast was perfect for us. Coffee, toast, fresh fruit and yoghurt and plenty of it. Staff... More

I stayed here for one night while travelling around Iceland in October. This was my first stop, and I chose it for its proximity to Kirkjufell which I was hoping to get decent pictures of (unfortunately the weather didn't play ball but that's not the hotels' fault!) The rooms are fairly basic- I was on the ground floor in what... More

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in June/July as part of a self-drive tour booked through Discover the World. We had a superb large room, no 202, with windows on two sides giving views of the sea, Kirkjufell and the snowy mountains. Tea and coffee were provided in the room along with free wifi. There is no lift... More

The staff at this hotel are fantastic, so accommodating and friendly, I couldn't fault them at all. That said, I feel they were let down by the facilities at the hotel. The radiator in the room was noisy, the tv only had 3 channels (although I don't think many people go there to watch to!) and the walls were paper... More
