We had originally booked a night in a very expensive and well regarded hotel in Brantome, but on checking our booking, I noticed that our room was going to be in an annexe about 300 metres from the main hotel. found Chateau des Reynats and transferred our booking to a deluxe room in the main chateau building for about half... We spent 2 nights in this great residence and we loved it : very well positioned (5 minutes to Périgueux), very typical inside and...with a fantastic restaurant 1 star Michelin, "L'Oison", where we had dinner twice, with full satisfaction. The room is well decorated in a mix between the "fairy tale" and modern colors, the bathroom is big and traditional,... More

I stayed at this hotel for more than 3 weeks for business and my only complaint was the noise. We didn't stay in the main "castle" but rather the 3 story building on site. The walls were paper thin - I could hear everyone next to me and even those across the hall. Since we were traveling in a large... More

The food was so good, great value and the service impeccable. It is a lovely and relaxed atmosphere, we pretty much tried everything on the menu, the owners obviously value their customers and want them to come back, I highly recommend a visit.

My husband and I booked a 3 night stay for a romantic weekend. The website is really attractive with beatutiful pictures and there was a good deal on offer too. Be warned, it is completely misleading !! The "castle" is situated in the suburb of Perigueux, next to a commercial zone. It has no garden anymore, the park has been... More

Lunch at the Bistro at Chateau de Reynats, which we had heard praised was very disappointing in terms of service and ambience. At the start the wait staff did not recognize the name of the simple local aperitif I asked for ( vin de peche) and did not know if there was any. After spilling the bottled water on the... More

I booked the orangerie at this hotel as I was on a motorcycle road trip to Biarritz and this was a convenient stop. The orangerie is a modern block to one side of the hotel and is a functional and pleasant environment for the money - it was very good value at £50 for the night for a double room.... More

Stayed in 3 hotels on this two week stay in France. I spent the most money , 220 Euro a night, on this hotel thinking that we would leave on a high note. Sad to say was not the case. I guess one should always read the fine print however given the amount per room and the fact that even... More

I expected much more. The photos and the description from the red michelin guide are deceiving. Though good, the hotel is somewhat not well kept, some rooms old fashioned, doors, beds a bit too old. Too expensive for the service you get. Good breakfast.

Stayed 2 nights.... But only because we'd booked up front and paid in full! Very pretty to look at, nice part of France. Our booking was for a twin room, non-smoking, air conditioning. We got a smokers double, no air con, not even tea and coffee making facilities. Despite keeping roller blind down, room was humid and cooking by evening... More
