Stayed overnight to do some sightseeing in Perigueux. We booked a double room overlooking the lake and were happy with this choice. Spacious room, clean and with a small balcony. We enjoyed our evening meal from a reasonably priced menu and breakfast was OK ...not the most varied we have experienced but sufficient. Some reviews have commented about the need... More

We ate at the restaurant below the hotel and it was the best 4 course menu at €22 we have had the past 4 weeks traveling in France! The presentation of the main dish (duck confit) was of Michelin standard and tasted just as good! The ginger prawn cassoulet entree was also devine and a wonderful creme brûlée to finish... More

Hotel looks lovely from Photographs. Tucked on edge of town just past the industrial estate. Old fashioned French Hotel in need of upgrading. Rooms spartan and in need of redecoration. Bathrooms clean but dark Food served outside in good weather on nice terrace overlake.. The standard was good but could have been better. we experienced much better food during the... More

We arrived quite late and were still very warmly welcomed by the host. The view on the lake towards sunset was spectacular. The room was huge, with large doors that open on a little balcony to overlook the lake. So although it was quite hot, there was no need for a fan and definitly no need for an air-con. All... More

Stayed here for one night during a very hot August. Although the hotel does not have air conditioning the room was reasonably cool. We were offered a room with a balcony over-looking the lake for a very reasonable €70. The room was large but was in need of some updating. Rooms are furnished simply in traditional French style. The hotel... More

Hotel is absolutely beautiful, while it may be a bit outdated on furnishings, hotel is quite charming. Restaurant was magnificent (dinner) after a long day driving. Grounds are quite pleasant for romance and a short walk. Definitely recommend staying here.

We had an immense room for 4, and service was very helpfull and kind. Nice big swimmingpool. Average breakfast. Peacefull place. It is true that the furniture, and the whole building, could welcome some refreshing....but I don't mind that, since it is clean, and absolutely functional.
