Went to Wiener Neustadt for weekend to watch a friend race at the local speedway track which is literally around the corner. The hotel looks quaint from the outside but is very old fashioned inside & the rooms are very basic to say the least, but I always look at these sort of places as somewhere to rest your head at night as I won't be in it all day. The food was the usual european fayre, the staff were extremely helpful & friendly & the hotel realy couldn't be more central being on the market square. The town itself is lovely with a maze of streets between all these lovely old buildings, but if you're British are American be warned that everything is closed on Sundays even Vienna which is an hour North!!! I know this sounds an odd thing to point out but what amazed me about how quaint this town was is that the Sunday newspapers were in clear packages hung on lamp posts, street signs & trees with a bag for you to put your money in!!.
