We visited Suburbia after a series of disappointments in Boracay. Like many travelers, we were afriad to fly out of Kalibo after leaving Boracay on the same day. There is a long bus ride between the two destinations, so it's best to leave a night in between just in case there are problems. Sububia was a great place to spend... More

Great family run hotel! Everyone is sweet, friendly, and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The room was clean, the city surprisingly charming, and you can refill your bottles with purified water! We took a Tuk Tuk to the mall and had fun just walking around and eating at the food court. Check our Greenwich pizza for a yummy and... More

I stopped here for one night on my way through to Boracay Staff are great and the place is so clean Would definitely stop here again. You can buy a ticket at the airport for bus and boat to Boracay , but I bought tickets on the Cebu Pacific flight Using Southwest transfers this was so good 500Pesos and includes... More

This hotel is located near the Kalibo airport. If you arrive at the airport at late night, stay at this hotel is very reasonable. The hotel prepare a pick up van, if you request by e-mail. The owner responses almost real time with his i-pad. My family requested a van pick up to the hotel and I payed 250 pesos... More

Instead of going straight to Caticlan/Boracay, we decided to stay overnight at Suburbia Garden Hotel - an 11-room hotel at Brgy. Tigayon, Kalibo owned and managed by the Abello family. We pre-ordered plated dinner - 3 orders roasted chicken, 2 orders grilled liempo and mixed vegetables. Soup and bottomless iced tea is free. And so is 3-in-1 coffee and green... More

This is a wonderful hotel if you are staying overnight in Kalibo. The family who owns the hotel was very generous and accommodating. My fiancé and I felt like a part of their family; very good example of filipino culture and personality. The rooms were spotless and very spacious. When we return to Kalibo in transit to Boracay, we will... More

We stayed for one night at the Suburbia Gardens, following a late arrival at the nearby airport. The hotel is conveniently located for airport travellers and offers very clean rooms, air conditioning, bottled water, en - suite shower room and good quality free wifi. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough to help and advise, letting us feel... More

To start, Kalibo is really just a drop off point going to Boracay except during Ati-Atihan Festival. There are no 5star hotels here. Suburbia is very basic. What made our stay okay is the owner, mike as mentioned in the earlier reviews. Rate is php1k which is really cheap. We only stayed for a night. Next time though we'll go straight... More

We stayed last night to catch an early flight back to manila.Mr. Mike Abello owner-manager picked us at the bus station. He is very accomodating and very helpful on informing us about Kalibo. We found our room simple but very well maintained . Its clean ,and you will feel very safe and very homey. We met his family and have... More

We were already at NAIA Terminal 4 when I learned that our reservation in Boracay was cancelled thus leaving us with no room to stay for the night. Good thing about being an OC traveler was that I listed down "back up" accommodations both in Boracay and in Kalibo. Because our trip was during Super Peak season (Chinese New Year),... More
