It's a perfect solution when staying at the beach for a few days, the dive shop is just outside the door aswell as a shop and a few restaurants. The staff is friendly and can help you arrange almost anything. The rooms with fans are very hot.
This lovely place with chalets around a nice garden is definitely recommended. There is option for chalets with shared bathroom or ones with bathroom inside. we had the first mentioned and everything was very clean. There is a common kitchen. Next time we will stay here again.
There are about a dozen budget options in Cherating (which is a very small town spread over 2 streets) and there isn't a huge amount of difference between them all. I looked at rooms at 8 of them, and decided I liked Mata Hari best.
