We stayed at the Hirschen for 4 nights in early July. The hotel has 2 buildings, we were in the rear building, with a very large, comfortable, and contemporary room. In the lower level of our building was indoor parking and the steam/sauna/massage rooms. The steam and sauna were the best we used on our month-long trip. The hotel has... More

My wife and I stayed here for an anniversary weekend. Very welcoming and friendly and the room was great. In fact we were upgraded to the large double. The room isn't luxrury if that's what you want but full of charm. The dinner was aamzing value at 25 Euros each - fine dining almost. Our favourite part was breakfast on... More

The hotel is very nice and has retained its old world charm. The staff are very friendly The food is excellent! The location nestled in the mountains would be an ideal spot for family or couples and I can only imagine it's super in the snow season

Chique, antique hotel with good restaurant in lovely Bregenzer Wald. Antique exterior, several original 'stuben', several antique guest rooms (worth the extra amount of money). Bathroom small and average. Nice shaded terras for breakfast, lunch and dinner, no views however. Good hospitality. Food was very good as well as the wines. Try the local cheeses!

Came here for lunch, it was excellent. The food was fantastic and tasted even better. The presentation of the food and the attention of the staff was outstanding, and was of a very high standard . The dining room was comfortable, charming and we were made to feel very welcome. This was Michelin star standard without the Michelin star prices.... More

A typical place to stay in schwarzenberg. The room is nice and big. They have a restaurant with a very good food of the region. The staff is helpfully and gentle. The breakfast is very good and you have a large choise of products. May be the location is not the best, because the hotel is in front of the... More

I stayed here during August/September 2012 whilst on business in Dornbirn; I was really impressed by the hotel's heritage, its location, the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the dining experience. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and of a good standard. My room was on the small side but there were larger rooms available if I had wanted... More

My husband, myself, another couple and a friend walked into this hotel after a week of hiking and sightseeing and some not-so-good hotels. The rooms were a delight - well kept and clean, and the bathrooms were roomy! Finally some peaceful sleep and a good, hot shower! The little town where the Hirschen is located is easily walkable - there... More

Important Note: My review keeps defaulting to "Zell Am See, Austria", since there are no previous reviews of Schwarzenberg, I suppose. But this hotel is NOT in Zell Am See - it is in the Vorarlberg region. The Hirschen stands in the centre of a small, rural, rustic ski town in Western Austria's Vorarlberg region. In summer the quaint area... More
