This was just what we needed after climbing toubkal and a long ride down south. The pool is beautiful, the service is great and the food is delicious. Although the breakfast was very average. The hotel looks like a little bit of paradise just at the border of the desert. it is located a few kilometers from the last town M'hamid before the Sahara. i would suggest to go to the local market as it is a real opportunity to discover a real souk with the locals doing their business. If you want to experience the real Morocco and the Sahara desert in one place this hotel is a must. We spent 2 nights here which included a trip into the desert arranged at short notice by the hotel. We stayed at Dar Azawad towards the end of a fantastic 2 week private tour of Morocco and will never forget our experience. Our room, close to the lovely pool was very comfortable. We even managed to get Wifi in the room. We arrived around 3.30pm after a drive from Skoura so the pool was much appreciated. And more so... More

If ever in M'Hamid, might I suggest to check out Dar Azawad. It's more than a hotel, it's a freakin' resort! Major fun was had by all! The rooms, are spacious, clean and comfortable. Hard to find fault. Terrific night in a desert camp, then absolute comfort the following night in one of the Sultan Rooms. Lovely staff who helped us to get our car fixed. Great, friendly service all round.

Luxurious accommodation in the desert with resident cats, dogs, sheep, donkeys and a camel. Excellent base for visiting the desert. Very comfortable room, copious breakfast and dinner.
